Lou Reed’s death hit me hard too, but not in the same way. With Reed it, he’s iconic, but can’t really relate to him. I was sad because I know how much he loved his wife, and I thought he’d be around for a bit longer after the liver transplant. With Bowie, he was everywhere even when he wasn’t. Everyone artist, band,

That’s how I felt, too. Not only Bowie’s immense, diverse catalog, but nearly any band, artist, actor, author, and / or photographer I like all mention Bowie as an influence.

I love those '90s Bowie records, too. He just went for it and it pays off.

Seeing Adrian Peterson fumble was great to be honest.

The ease of that Home Run is crazy. Bonds made it look like a batting practice pitch.

All the bad ass girls I had crushes on in jr. high and high school listened to GnR. Us boys were into Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Pearl Jam.

I went to the the 1999 and 2003 Coachella and they were awesome. ‘99 was the first one, but I have no interest in going back now. It’s too big, and the bands don’t get to play a full set. Luckily I live in Arizona, and a good number of bands that play Coachella come here before of after the festival.

That's a great story. Awesome of you to share.

David Spade went to the same high school as I did. When I was in school, he showed up around Homecoming time to do announcements over the school’s PA. It was never ever funny. But now that you told your story, he came back to hit on the high school girls.

I signed on just to see if you posted....so happy to hear some positive news. Cheers from the southwest!

I hope Killer Mike travels with Senator Sanders to various campaign stops. Mike has such a natural stage presence.

I can’t believe she’s coming to Phoenix in August. It’s usually 115 for the high temperature.

Yes, they played ‘Iris’, too, but I really like that song.

Radiohead in a small place sounds awesome, too. I’ve been lucky to see some great shows in both big stadiums and tiny clubs. Both have pluses and minuses. One thing that’s cool about seeing a giant stadium show is for 2 hours, there’s basically a small city who are there for the same reason. I was at the U2360 Rose

I went to four U2 shows for this tour, and one of the shows I was at, they ended with ‘One’, and I didn’t care for the sing along ending either. I think ‘One’ is a great song, but I don’t think it’s a sing along song at all. I get that it is now, but I don’t think that’s the original point of the song. When I read the

Unabashed U2 fan here, too.... been lucky to see them many times live.

I watched this tonight on HBO for their broadcast of the U2 concert.... I can’t imagine how powerful it was to be there in person. Seeing singer Jesse Hughes jumping up and down doing something he loves was fucking awesome.

Yeah, you wouldn’t associate people who claim to be ‘Christian’ as being advocates for HIV/ AIDS, but as a Catholic myself, that’s exactly what being a Christian is supposed to mean..helping out the most needy. It was and still is very shameful how many ‘Christians’ pick and choose who is worthy of help. I didn’t know

Inside stadiums, nope.... There was something outside the old Candelstick Park in 2011.
