@WhatYouSayBoutMyMomma: I didn't get the sense it was her trying to educate. It seemed like it was her trying to control and, by bringing the cameras, to demonstrate to the world what a "good mother" she is. Why did she have to do that in front of an audience? She didn't seem to care at all that it would mortify her

For me the most horrifying thing about this whole episode was Danielle's talking about sex with her daughter and that awful, cringe-inducing trip to the ob-gyn.

@AthertonMerriweather: Yeah, they're all horrible assholes this season, and watching Danielle is just plain disturbing.

@mannequin: It was the very first program we installed on our very first home computer (an Apple IIGS, circa 1988).

Nothing beat the satisfaction of shooting a pixilated bear with my up/down arrow keys. A family could live for WEEKS on that bear!

I love that he's taking her to WNBA games. Basketball for everyone!

@MissContrarian: Likely because your comment seemed kinda nasty and bent out of shape.

@MissContrarian: So basically, you're hating on Chelsea and her family for not being the Kennedys. If they were, then you'd be on board with the whole "royal wedding thing", despite teh fact that the Kennedys were the children of one of the slimiest Nazi-sympathizing rich guys of all time?

@CassandraSays: Exactly. There are stores near my office and my home and I've been in both on a fairly regular basis over the past year and there is NOTHING that I'd wear. They used to have good cotton t-shirts. Now it's all polyester short-shorts and lace body stockings.

Do you get a free spray tan with purchase?

@CrapCommentFromADude: Like I said: Perhaps this new hire has somehow managed to be white her entire life and forge a successful career in a hyper-white industry creating content for a white audience without ever developing a white identity or professional outlook but I think it's highly unlikely.

@CrapCommentFromADude: When a white publishing company hires a white person who has always worked in the white publishing world for white magazines to come to a black magazine...whiteness is being added. Publishing is one of the most exclusively white businesses in the US. The dominant mindset and business

@CrapCommentFromADude: Yes. That's how it works, you see. When you add more whiteness, things get whiter.

Somewhere, Bill Clinton is LAUGHING.

@mrsjakeryan: Well, yeah. I mean, we live in a post-racial society, after all.

@the.bleach: Yes, white people have made great strides over the last 5,000 years. Thanks for pointing that out.

@lorrigirl: I don't think you want to use the tokenism argument to defend this.
