How the fuck can you walk in those??? The mind (and instep) boggles.

If we want people to treat us with respect when it comes to our bodies, we should probably take a pass on bashing other people about their bodies.

Way to stand up to the rape culture...and to some rapists.

@CurtCole: And your cockbib too? Baby, you shouldn't have!

Y'all, this is my very first COTD and my birthday is Sunday, so this week is pretty much made !

Amazing. That much color and pattern is hard to pull off, but she looks stunning, and totally right for the occasion.

@plumberry: It's not true, of course, so my guess is it's based on the notion that girl babies are less valuable and more trouble than boys.

@Diziet_Sma: The title came from a friend's comment about how giving birth to a girl can "suck the pretty right out of you."

@MizJenkins: Yeah, not a fan of the Cleopatra hair, myself. But the color is nice.

I keep the Scott Baio poster in my shitass.

@clochette: That's interesting about "whom". I was definitely taught to be aware of when it was correct to use whom instead of who. And I think it's very rare to find an American who uses anything but "fall" to refer to autumn. I didn't realize it was the opposite in the UK!

@emilyanne: My hang-up is the verb, "bring." If anyone uses a past tense form that is not "brought", it makes me nuts. And in the South, "brang" and "brung" are way more common.

@Lau_To_Thou_Pow: Ooh, "shan't"! I love the word "shall". no one uses it in the US anymore!

@emilyanne: Particular about our past participles, are we? I think Americans have mostly dropped the "t" endings on verbs like burn, spell, spill, learn, in favor of ed endings. It's part of our gloriousness.

@MizJenkins: Also "learnt." Who says "learnt" anymore?

Gwen Verdon is laughing her ass off in heaven.
