When I was young, I was taught to think, “Will this cause unnecessary hurt to other people?” before I did things. It doesn’t matter what others think of me, but it *does* matter to me that I treat other people with respect.

I don’t get mad about sexist, racist, homophobic, or otherwise offensive Halloween costumes because Halloween is a special time when you can always suss out the most awful people at the party at first glance and avoid them. A blessing in disguise.

I didn’t like any of this. As someone who has been cheated on multiple times, this made me queasy. I didn't like his answers or candor about it. No I will not "find myself in this situation someday", if I am with someone and want to be with someone else, I'll end my current relationship first cuz I'm not a fuckhead.
