Didn't make the main page cut but at least its in the Flikr gallery. Great work everyone!

CSPAN now and forever. It's the only channel you can reliably watch for unbiased coverage of major political events. That and the people who call in are hilarious on a regular basis. Also, NPR.org's election center.

I'm fortunate to live within within 6 miles of my job. My commute takes anywhere from 8-10 minutes. If I'm on the road bike, it will take me about 20 to get to work, but that is a result of dodging a-hold drivers.

When I was in college, I worked at a Starbucks. Before I go any further, I greatly enjoy independently owned shops much more...Starbucks paid more per hour, so that was the extent of my decision making process. With that said, their company music system played some fantastic Jazz/blues/folk music that would honestly

That bike is illegal in UCI competition due to its insane aerodynamic advantage. It is a wonder of technology though. I would like to do a TT on that bike just once, but I have other things I could spend $12-16K on at the moment...I've seen it once in person and it is quite something.

true, some non-DSLR's do have it, and that is really cool. If that button is present, it usually means in the settings of the camera that you may be able to alter its function. Usually, it's deciding if you wan't the button to auto focus, lock exposure, do both, or one and not the other specifically (3-5 options).

Enable Back-button-focus on your DSLR and forget about shutter release focus. It is a godsend if your camera has the feature. You usually have to go into the function menu to enable it, at least on Canons anyway.

G+ is fantastic! With the last, non-functional redesign of Gawker Media pages, there was a bit of an exodus to G+ from Jalopnik. It took a while for everybody to find everybody until Google allowed sharing of circles, now it is much easier.

I approve of this message.

Energy drinks or supplements are for the most part not regulated by the FDA, and therefore have weaker quality control standards. If you drink a product that has the little disclaimer on the back that says "These statements are not evaluated by the FDA", the ingredient label may not be accurate, and you could be

I could care less if people are on facebook or not and I hold none of the opinions you seem to think I have. It's not facebook itself, but more the smug attitude. I have facebook, so what? I don't need to repeatedly hear why I should cancel it.

Is there a way to fix the smug commenters who think they are superior to everyone else because the canceled their account? Or the ones who go all hipster and never had one in the first place? The most annoying thing about Facebook is having to listen to them every time the topic comes up.

There is absolutely no reason why a female cannot race cars and be successful at it. There is also no need to sell yourself to the highest bidder on TV and pose half naked in SI swimsuit issues or GoDaddy commercials, while simultaneously telling everyone you want to be known as a race car driver first...

I was the passenger in an '88 Mustang 5.0 that did this WAY too fast. We landed, bottomed out bad and blew up the rear end, shock mounts, a control arm or two, and something with the transmission and oil pan I can't remember. If the driveshaft hadn't liberated itself from the rear axle, we may have gone across the

I think this will only matter to the crowd that bitches about being given a white iPhone instead of a black one. Probably the entitled high school kids who will beg their dad for a car "because it works with my iPhone!" This target market exists, but I agree with others that it is more important to make sure

By middle of nowhere you mean across the street from a major Army base and a city of 500,000?

Agreed. I should have included the Tundra as well as the Nissan Titan. They are so big they defy practicality. But we all know practical doesn't sell trucks anymore, image does.

I don't necessarily blame Ford, because all of Big 3 are guilty of this, but the half-tons are getting way too big and expensive. IMO, over the last 4 years or so, they have begun to resemble luxury SUV's that happen to have beds. I have a '99 F150, and I parked next to a 2012 last night and couldn't believe the size

I used to work for two really cool doctors. One would ride is Harley V-Rod to work almost every other day. The other guy collects BMW's, and actually has a WWII German BMW motorcycle with a side-car that he would ride to work...with the matching helmet. This is also the guy that would daily drive a Z1 too.
