That car is growing on me. Reminds me of the Stratos reboot fro some reason.

What if you are a guy like me? Mid 30’s, played with cars my whole adult life as a hobby, 4 year tech degree. I want to work in the auto industry, but I am not an engineer. Going back to school to become one does not seem to be effective, and I struggle with higher math. I am very mechanically inclined, have an

This guy chose 2Jz:

I did the same thing with the yellow gallardo in Vegas. Took it out to the dam, up and down the strip, etc. Fun times, but man that lambo was beat :)

I think you gotta see it in person to get the full effect :)

No, I did the Stancewars show at golden Gardens once and it was a cluster F. Fun though, I would definitely go to one at Ocean shores. Totally the venues fault. Which is another reason I did this swap. For a classic Mustang owner, I’m fairly young at 36. I don’t just like old muscle cars. I didn’t grow up with them,

I would have loved to swap out the old 2.3T for the new 2.3T Ecoboost. Sadly, Ford doesn’t sponsor me and drop crate engines off at my house. I’m ballin on a budget here.

I had quite a few people tell me the 2.3T was a 6 cylinder as we were standing there LOOKING at it. I would tell them no, its just a 4, and they would say “these cars never came with a 4”. I would have to count the spark plug wires out loud for them. These are the people I’m dealing with here. :)

Its got a pretty gnarly BOV, but you don’t build boost without a load. I’ll get a good driving video up soon.

It’s being swapped out for a mandrel bent pipe ASAP.

Quirky was fun, but a royal ass pain that I just couldn’t deal with anymore. I decided to go with reliability/ease of driving/ power over brand loyalty.

See ya around! Now that the car is reliable I hope to hit some shows and events farther away from greater Seattle. Eastern WA, Ocean Shores, maybe even down to Oregon.

Not even on the same level. I bet the wheels and tires on the Martini cost as much as my car.

Exactly. I pulled it out of the sticker bushes, it’s just an I6 Coupe. Nothing special, perfect blank canvas. I only have room for one fun car. Everyone preaches “build the car YOU want, not what the next guy wants” right? Well.....

You can have one. I paid $2500 for the Mustang. Less than your aluminator swap I’m sure. Go buy one, toss in a 302, and be just like everyone else.

I bought half a Supra just for reasons 4, 3 and 1.

That dumb RB26DETT in the classic Mustang.

*jokes are funny

I gotta agree. Just finished the 2J swap into the stang, with a large single single turbo conversion. Off the line there’s not much drama, but when the boost hits and the tires break loose at 30 mph... good times.
