This round of io9 writers are sounding more like bitter old people.

I hear ya, I’ve been feeling that a lot these days. I guess I should just be happy for myself.

Yeah, I’m not digging the needless snark that’s been creeping in lately.

Don’t understand why people hated the finale, I thought it was pretty cool to have all the different parties come together and collaborate.

was thinking the same thing. were they dressed up as some thought-up version of those actual cultures, seems to me the outrage would have been bigger.

Yup, the whole “Curse them if they do. Curse them if they don’t”.

PERFECT assessment. 10/10

That would have been the complaint instead.

Maybe they thought that dressing up in traditional attire of cultures that aren’t their own as white people would’ve been 10x worse.

So....a solution? Sounds like you don’t want them to explore these cultural identifiers and the explorer-genre tropes. Should half the cast be fired and people you find “approved” be playing this game?

This dude is absolutely taking advantage of children in front of god and the entire organization and honestly, I gotta respect that. I blame Cyllene for allowing this to continue next to her office, I KNOW she can hear his bullshit.

I just gotta comment on the part about CP being a “massively long game”... It really isn’t at all. The actual campaign is surprisingly short and even the overall game world and side stuff is pretty small, especially for an big AAA RPG. I would say if you are 20 hours in already, you’ve probably done more of the main

Thank you....BATMAN!

I tend to think of this as a new phenomenon, but wow did this ever prove that it totally isn’t. The Phantom Menace was 22 years ago. I’ve heard about all the shit Ahmed went through. One of my friends worked with him on a production about a year ago and said he was just the nicest guy. I don’t know why people can’t

Fun part: people are trying to defend the person. Or pretending to in an attempt at shitposting. Same idiocy, slightly different flavor.

I’d say most industries have the same problem. I’ve seen this type of behavior both in the auto industry (where I worked in and just out of college) and in marketing agency culture as well.

The tech industry as a whole has a problem
