You sound like a Dragon Ball Z fan and not a Dragon Ball fan. Dragon Ball was slapstick and gag humor. For crying out loud, Oolong saved the day in Dragon Ball when he wishes for a young girl’s panties.

Dragon Ball started out as a whimsical action/adventure manga with tons of gag elements to it. That’s where its roots are.

We were all really rooting for him, but he’s more or less implied that he was approached for the role but ultimately didn’t get it.

Didn’t they do that on Solar Opposites? I don’t watch either show but I remember somebody posting a clip of Solar Opposites where the main character (I guess?) has a new voice and he just says “This is how I sound now and also the thing that changed my voice affected the timeline so I’ll sound this way in flashbacks

Being able to do a good impersonation is not the same as being a good voice actor.

I liked the new voices, there was less of the slurring and burping which was kinda irritating. I get that that’s like saying foghorn leghorn would be better if he didn’t keep saying “ah say ah say” before every other sentence or if porky pig didn’t stutter so much but I’m not as invested in R&M for that to be a big

Those that are aware of the BTS will probably hear a difference, those that don’t probably won’t - such is the nature of placebo right?

If I didn’t know about all the behind-the-scenes stuff, I wouldn’t even notice it was new voice actors in that trailer. A little part of me was secretly hoping they’d jump out of a portal with radically different voices and go: “Well, guess we sound like this now.”

A lot of people also fail to realize that despite the “created by” credit Justin Roiland receives, he actually has done less than 5% of the writing across both of those shows. Dan Harmon handles a lot of the writing and direction in addition to a writing team that helps write a majority of the episodes.

Aaaaaaaand they sound pretty damn near identical, so all those children crying on Reddit will chill now right? The “heart” of the show, these two dumbass, easily replicated voices, sound about the same, the show is back, and the same, right?

Down by the river in a van

They’re now claiming they can finally start using NFTs for their intended purpose, which is...something something contract or signature authentication or something something I dunno. It’s alluded to in this article. There is apparently some magical valuable “use” for NFTs beyond just overcharging people for a

Cowering in fear of your brutal “I told you so”! It’s your time babayyyy!

Whenever an article critical of NFTs was posted back in the day people would come out of the woodwork defending how valuable and revolutionary they would be and how you just “didn’t get it”. Where are those people now?

I get this argument, I really do, but it gives short-shrift to the simple fact that $70 is no small amount to the average person, who maybe doesn’t want to feel the phantom hand of a publisher reaching into their pocket for more money every ten minutes.

Honestly, it’s no different than what passes for political discourse nowadays, which is even more sad.

I hate how much of online gaming discourse revolves around bad takes made by ill-formed idiots looking to make a quick buck off rage-bait videos.

Not all of them put their foot down with monogamy. Some do prefer a committed partner, some are cool with sharing, some are initially cool with sharing but desire more of a commitment in the end.

nearly all of them are at least somewhat pushy about it”

I love the game but simply don’t have time to do all the grinding Nintendo expects of me in their already 100+ hour game to get anything good.
