At this point, even after reading the arguments from both sides, I'm still undecided. I don't have kids yet, but I'm at a point where my wife and I have been thinking about having our first soon. It's odd though, because some days I find myself very excited about it, but other days I'm hoping I never have kids. I feel

By the looks of it, you're more like a trout.

I wish it was presented in a more legible manner. I really don't want to be tilting my head in all directions just to read 15 sentences.

Okay, apparently you've got enough fedoras.

I guess you read that story before it was cool. Here, have another fedora.

I think I watched that "The Ants and the Grasshopper" bit over 1000 times when I was about 4 years old. It brings back so many memories!

Got it. It's good to keep our eyes open for those things.

I probably won't trust him, but this advice looks solid, or do you see anything wrong with this advice in particular?

I think this could backfire, at least with more old school people.

This should be interesting. I've been thinking about this a lot lately because my wife wants kids soon (1~2 years from now). I always thought having kids was a given. "Of course I'm gonna have kids. Not having kids? Crazy talk." Now that I'm actually close I'm not so sure. I just don't think I want a time/money sink.

I guess it's a matter of priorities. It was probably easier for you to quit the junk food because it allows you to be in better shape and more healthy, but having clean dishes right away doesn't quite have such an important impact on your life. It's tidy, sure, but the consequences of not doing so are minimal.

Ness can't be left out. I think it's safe to assume that the original 12 have a designated seat in the roster. I worry about Lucas, but Ness is there for sure.

Spot on. I really, really hate it when people say I'm wasting my time if I'm not doing something productive or that earns me money 24/7. I know a lot of people that are extreme when it comes to time = money and all I want is money. I get it if they're doing it because they enjoy it, but it seems like they think that

I can understand that, but how many other options are there? Also, have in mind that this isn't another model or anything, like Dr. Mario would be. This is just another texture, it's basically a fancy palette swap. I've been playing Mario games since 1989, and I can't think of many other costume options for Mario that

So dramatic. I'm not American, and I'm not a patriotic person at all, but it's an alternate costume. An optional video game costume. If that upsets you I'd suggest you stay away from the Internet, because there are lots of much more upsetting things in here. Grow up.

The fact that they handled the situation the way they did, in a nice, friendly manner, made me buy the game just 30 seconds ago. I had seen it, it seemed alright, but it didn't really call out for me too much. Seeing this, and a few gameplay videos convinced me of getting it. It's not too expensive, and the game looks

I see your point, but I still don't see how skipping laps and teching is in any way comparable. The point of Mario Kart is to run your laps faster than anyone else, and while there are some intentional shortcuts, exploits may be some sort of gray area. They're not forbidden, but using them is probably cheap. I can see

I wouldn't say your Mario Kart example counts as cheating. As you said, it only takes skill and practice to do it. Fair game.

Why would you say it's cheating, though? You can pick any character, and you can perform the same exploits. It's a fair playing field. If someone doesn't want to wavedash/L-cancel/Crouch-cancel/Short-hop, it's their choice, and it doesn't mean it's cheating if someone else uses them. If somebody can't do them, that

Is it bad that it wasn't designed to be there, though? It means the game has a higher skill cap, which I think it's great. It doesn't really take away anything from people who can't do it, but it offers dedicated players something to allow for more technical play. I don't see why you would want it removed, though.
