CP - way too much for an Integra

I can see that if it’s a 6-speed auto vs a 6-speed manual, but so many companies are making automatics with 8 or 10 forward gears now. I personally have a 2018 Accord 2.0 with the 10AT, so I have 4 more gears (3 overdrives!) than the manual version. EPA reports mileage for both at 32hwy. but I get 37-38 real world.

Why? No one was buying them. Focus sales were so flat they were selling them at a lower price than the smaller Fiesta, which also wasn’t selling!

IMO the Gladiator isn’t selling because it’s hideous. The proportions are wonky and make it look homemade (maybe that’s what they were going for!). A short bed model, or a 2-door 6' bed would probably look better.

I’m surprised this crossover didn’t happen last decade. Modern automatics (except CVT) are great and almost always more efficient than a manual trans so only enthusiasts are buying manual cars.

Do you drive 200-250 miles every day? If not, then current range numbers are fine for you. Your employer (assuming you work in an office) probably has EV charging spaces in the parking lot, and you can slow charge on a 120v at night in your garage.

I have a soft spot for these cars when they come with the right transmission. You’re gonna need some pocket change put aside for the eventual wear and tear 221k puts on the chassis, but this is NP all day

You’re forgetting about interest, my dude. Which would be pretty much all he’d be paying on a 72-month loan for the first year or 2.

But he did though! He only owes $27k on a GT Stinger.

$7k is 20%

It’s 20% of the price... Honestly if you can’t put down 20% of the car price, buy a cheaper car

I’m not upside down in the 2018 Honda I bought last christmas, and I put like $7k down. Stinger lost half its value in the same time

Jesus can you imagine being upside down in a car that’s only 2 years old?

I love this car because I am an idiot. NP

A less-reliable Land Rover? That’s what I always wanted!

Hesitant CP. It looks really clean for its age, but something about it scares me off. 2nd year of the model + performance car with high miles

RIP Fast Prius

OK BOOMER

Housing cost skyrocketed as well. Average home price in 1950 was about $7400 - adjusted for inflation that’s just under $80,000 today, which is affordable right?

Predatory student loans, for-profit colleges, and general lack of education about how loans work is definitely a major cause. I know people with 50k or more in loans who struggle to find jobs that will pay them $40k. They’ll be saddled with that debt for decades because they can’t afford the lump sums to pay them down
