Okay, I am seeing a lot of comments complaining that they are not making All Star superman into a movie, how it is some sort of ultimate, perfect version of Superman.

About the warging: isn’t it stated in the books that, if his/her original body dies, the skinchanger’s memory slowly fades until nothing of the man/woman is left and only the beast remains?

The dinosaurs did not behave like real animals at all... the moment they were released, they were primed and ready to start killing, they jumped through glass, into moving vehicles, they tore through walls... their behavior was off.

I agree with you, all jokes aside, I think additional material can improve on the movie as it is... additional scenes will probably make some issues with pacing and characterization go away.

You’re right! I mean, the guy only had 2 hours to tell a story with a huge budget and state of the art special effects... come on! Give the guy a break!

Yeah... we should watch the movie, then the deleted scenes, then the gag reel bloopers, the audition tapes, the international trailers, the Director’s cut, the alternate endings and THEN we can make a decision.

Indeed! “Oh, if I’d only had 56 hours to explain what I wanted to say!”... Really? You need 4 hours to tell a coherent story?

Meanwhile, in Argentina...

Haha... yeah, I'm an English-Spanish literary, technical and scientific translator. When I started the course, a professor asked us about what drove us to study translation; a classmate replied, "I want to translate the great works of British literature into Spanish"; The teacher was all "uhmmmmmm, about that..."

"90% of what I do is really boring documents that most people wouldn't be bothered to read in any language".

Currently reading The Scar, here. I am liking it as much as Perdido Street Station, which is quite a lot.

HA! "Would you like to upgrade your order to 'extintion level event' for only 2 dollars?"

Great question!

It's not just 'yes to fish', they're not just 100 fish... they're the last fish of that species. How much is an entire species worth?

I tried, I really tried but The colour of magic (the film) was tragic.

Hell, my science textbook is older than the sun!

Good point about Quill and Drax. I just felt the bad overwhelmed the good: Rocket Raccoon's breakdown in that gambling pit in Knowhere "I didn't ask to be this way!" felt really out of character (and in front of almost every denizen of the Knowhere? Come on!), Tivan just opening the orb in front of them and explaining

Yeah, I felt it was weak too: most characters just blurted out their thoughts out loud: I am Gamora, I was kidnapped and tortured by Thanos, so now I am going to betray him. I am Drax, Ronan killed my family and I want revenge. I am Nebula, my motivation is the same as Gamora's but evil. And so on. Bleh.

Oh, so it's always power, greed and envy, i.e.: they all want what the hero has. Great motivation! Very nuanced... their motivation is: antagonize the hero. Nothing more.

Hah, I wasn't sure whether to add Loki to the list or not, I like what Tom Hiddleston has done with the character, but I feel he is never a full-fledged villain... his motivations are flimsy to me, and he stands to lose nothing... he looks like a rich kid throwing a tantrum. Eventually Thor will show up to save or
