I don't think people are holding The Avengers up against Citizen Kane, they are comparing it to other Super Hero movies. If you don't like comic book movies it's not surprising that you don't like it, because it's a comic book movie.

The average adult probably hasn't. The average person who sees Marvel movies in the theater is probably at least somewhat familiar with them. I don't know, if you liked the other Marvel movies I'd give this one a shot. You might actually enjoy it more going in with a blank slate.

Calling it a "film" pretty much says everything I need to know about your opinion on Super Hero movies. I'm pretty sure entertainment is what they're going for.

Well I've got to star this...

I don't think anyone would buy merchandise from a team just because they suspended a player. Regardless, they aren't going to sacrifice the on field product for PR in this case.

Getting stars and likes on internet forums probably shouldn't be your objective. Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people.

They are in the business of winning football games, not appealing to the public. Although, assuming Rice runs like he did last year those two things could align.

    Wow, quite the asshole.

I'm not arguing about the legal applications, how this works in theory, or anything like that. I'm talking the real world, the practical results. Which without question mean less privacy. Someone said it would mean less privacy, and you responded that it would not because the law hasn't changed. But the law has

"How so, its been case law for decades you DO NOT own the airspace above your house."

I agree with everyone here, but would also like to add that this is probably a top 10 acid movie. The music (Weird Al, You Got the Touch), the effects, the beloved characters dying, Orson freakin' Wells, Grimlock and the sharkticons, the Deceptacon's 3D grid makeover, everything about it. I cannot for the life of me

There was a group of high schoolers and their parents doing a tour around the base of the towers one day. My buddy is real short and kind of just fell into the group. After about 5 minutes of walking around with them I ran over, grabbed him, threw him over my shoulder, and then ran away across the bridge. He was

You were a multi sport athlete for four years and got labeled a "freak" and "burn out?" That seems unusually cruel. In my opinion bullying is worse than hazing though.

When I was a freshman we would take a handle of KG into the Glen and then take all the whip creme from the waffle bar and do whip-its. So if you were trying to enjoy whipped creme on your waffles around 2003, I'm sorry.

Do you think it would be acceptable if they simply asked new members to do a dance, without the blindfold or alcohol?

Did you play any organized sports growing up in the 80s? In my opinion, the lessons you learn playing sports, not to mention the added physical fitness, far outweigh the negatives. Hazing can certainly go too far, but that doesn't make it the norm. When I was a freshman in high school the upperclassmen made us roll

"This seems to be a new rhetorical strategy...."

Don't worry, the Braves already figured it out.

Haha, when the next book comes out, if you actually don't read it, I'll believe you. Of course, by then odds are one of us will be dead. You should definitely give the TV series a try if you made it to DwD, it's pretty good.

Around these parts we call that an upgrade.
