I could be wrong (I don't own one, but I've taken enough apart), but you can put any laptop harddrive into your xbox HD enclosure. I guess the correct format might be an issue, but most systems are cable of sorting that themselves.

Yea it's meant to use the camera to see who's talking. It's a nice way to get around having to train software to recognise your voice, which takes a while.
