45 days? Jesus. I got a dui in California in 1992 and I lost my license for six months.

If I’m not mistaken isn’t a part of a cop’s job to be observant? Isn’t their testimony held above yours and mine?

It’s not as though the R/T driver was completely innocent or “got drug into this”. Passing on the shoulder is seriously dumb. Let’s not lose sight of that just because there was an even dumber person in a similar car in the same area at the same time.

Now, it’s possible this officer isn’t into automobiles, but how in the ever living hell can you mistake those two vehicles!? The suspect still at large is driving a “blacked out” Challenger, and the poor innocent bastard is driving a “blinged out” Challenger. Not to mention the tail lights being vastly different.

I’m

They fought to not correct it, remember... And it wouldn’t have been corrected if it wasn’t for the never ending persistence of one man with video and the internet and about 3-4 days of effort.

Well, my post isn’t about what Goodell should have done. I think this punishment is major overkill, but I don’t care that much. The next time I feel sorry for any bad breaks the Patriots get will be the first time.

I don’t know... but I'm guessing that upholding due process, properly weighing uncertainty in the evidence, and not acting like an arbitrary tyrant would’ve been a good start.

Strip them of the Seattle win? The one where Brady threw 300+ yrds and 4 TDs against Legion of Boom with perfectly good balls?

Yeah, let’s give the 2004 super bowl win to the steroid users on the Panthers instead! Integrity!

My favorite part is how so much of the media just plays along with the narrative Goodell wants. Goodell is “tough” on those who “disrespect the integrity of the game,” rather than a grandiose figurehead who dishes out punishments arbitrarily in whatever way he thinks will best satisfy the majority of the public.

more like roger badell.

There is literally no justifiable reason for this to exist.

My husband was really sick last week. I told him to stay home. He said he couldn’t. Like in his mind it’s not possible for him to spend a day at home. He does idiotic things like works 5am to 5pm and then goes to a mill at 2am the next day because he wants to be there for the start of a shift. The other guys are there

I just started a new job and I’m the only person who doesn’t take my work laptop home on the weekends. I don’t have my phone synced up with my work email either. My coworkers were shocked when I told them this - they’ve all got work notifications on their personal phones 24/7, it’s insane.

Very well said.

We can chalk this up to a larger societal problem, which is how Americans work themselves to death and sacrifice everything to appear busy. This “cult of busy” rewards people for boasting about how tired they are and why. Downtime and vacations are a dirty word in corporate America and despite how busy we are, we

under appreciated part of the whole play was the stick fake he gave to get past the last guy. i was a goalie in a former life. those sticks don’t lend to good stick fakes

this far surpasses any fat guy TD. because the only time a fat guy TD happens is when the offense is no where near him to try and stop him. this dude went coast to coast, beat a double team and dodged a defender before cranking sidearm.

I know it’s not the same thing, which is why I said it was better. Fat football touchdown by definition cannot be the same when it is better - pay attention.

I am with you. I am a pretty A-type myself (it is Saturday and I am working from home (and reading Jezebel) and doing laundry before I go on a jog after which I will prepare three meals to freeze for the coming work week). However, without at least 7.5 hours of sleep, I am useless. I love focus and start crying at
