I just did a spit take imagining that Jax and Brittany got married at Mitch McConnell’s house.

The knowledge that everyone on VDPR - with the exception of James and Raquel - are my age is one of the few things that cures my anxiety.
IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY THAT JAMES WASN’T AT THE WEDDING I CANNOT WAIT TO WATCH HIM CRY ABOUT THIS
No. 60s party = hippies. 70s party = disco. I was born in 1986 so I make the rules.
Yes, and this is the problem that a lot of people are understandably having with the second season: Perry’s murder was technically an accident and also done to protect a woman he was literally, physically assaulting at the time.
Every single one of these posts have weighed both scenarios of Mary Louise murdering someone and Mary Louise getting murdered herself. “Meryl Murder Watch” could stand for both these scenarios as well.
I think she was onto something when she asked Jane to imagine Ziggy in the car with Celeste.
Yeah, Cory passed for early 70s for sure.
The second episode was far more interesting than the first, but I agree that the whole show seems boring and just unnecessarily mean. High school sucks for sure but it doesn’t suck this bad.
I mean that’s all fine, but what were those occasions? I’m assuming they were for historic WWII anniversaries, not Bastille Day.
I think that was his father, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Il set a precedent for no one in North Korea flying anywhere. It fits with their hermit nation narative.
The obnoxious thing is that this is an “accomplishment” that all his supporters will laud as historic and proof of success. He’s the first president to step foot in North Korea! No other man was able to do that!
If Mary Louise gets custody this show will veer into misery porn territory and I really don’t want to see that happen.
Madeline is my least favorite character on this show, but I agree with what she’s doing to Ed. Mostly because I’m DYING to see him get the fuck out of there. He’s trying to punish her but you can’t punish someone as self-absorbed and manic as Madeline. He should get out, have sex with Bonnie, and then be very public…
I mostly agree with this take.
That would probably track with Mary Louise. She seems like the type who interprets “70s party” as “hippie party.” This happens a lot on Real Housewives where women don’t understand that hippies were more 60s, or that 70s should really be confined to disco wear.
I can’t see her dressing up as someone who weepily chased greasy assholes around Staten Island and had a train run on her in a car outside the disco.
I watched this after drinking at the pool all day and while texting on a group chat about completely unrelated shit (Jax and Brittany wedding ftw!) so I wasn’t really paying attention. Like, I didn’t pick up anything about Perry’s brother’s accident. Whoops. I did look up and rewind to see the slap though!
Exactly. Fake news was originally a legitimate problem. Trump co-opting it as one of the like 12 words in his vocabulary completely robbed it of awareness. I don’t think Trump does anything intentionally but that was pretty smart on his part.
