You know, for a country that claims to hold it’s veterans in the highest regards, we sure do screw them over every chance we get.
I really want to see Trump get into single digits.
I hardly knew her!
Guess none of those pastors wanted to tell him that that’s not how Evangelical Christianity works.
“How short sighted and stupid could one person be?”
Yeah, Trump can brag about the ~200 jobs he saved last month, but the thousands of jobs these cuts are going to eliminate are gonna offset those a bit. Not only is he not going to “bring jobs back,” he’s taking more away!
You can be a rock ‘n roll snob if you want. I’ll be over here celebrating my unabashed love of “We Built This City,” warts and all.
I live in a basement!
Don’t remember the name of the X-Files episode, but it was the one where a couple of feral children were living inside the walls of this family’s house.
Yeah, it’s a really entertaining show. The books are good too.
Obviously, the founders wrote the Constitution under the assumption that the American people wouldn’t be complete morons.
The hand licker story showed up on the X-Files at one point, IIRC.
From what I understand, that’s still very much true in many places. Apparently the technical difficulties in tracing the exact location of cell phone calls precisely (for instance, knowing which floor of a building the call is coming from) is an issue that a lot of emergency services departments have to deal with.
It’s not quite as iconic as Handmaid’s Tale or Brave New World, but I’ve been reading the Expanse series by James S.A. Corey, and there’s an ongoing theme throughout all of the books so far of things going horribly wrong because people are being willfully ignorant and acting out of spite.
During the election, I LITERALLY told a few Trumpites that I would rather vote for my cat.
Stage 1: steal underpants of dissidents
You’re doing the Lord’s work, SNL.
I love that. Especially Roy Cohn as Marley.
