This is my exact complaint about the adaptive cruise control in my car. It’s so aggressive coming up on stopped cars. Stop and go traffic becomes even more annoying when I try to use it. It is almost bearable if I increase the follow distance, but then guess which car everybody else decides to jump in front of; and

I forgot about that, and accept it as evidence of his douchiness. He is my least favorite Nat, but more because he’s really into the performative hustle thing which honestly probably plays into those minor league comments. Always be wary of the gritty players who can’t stop telling you how gritty they are.

I just snorted... loudly. Gotta love open office!

Uggh... don’t remind me I sometimes have to be in the vicinity as that asshole when I just want to watch baseball.

Not only are the Nats thankfully douche-bag free, but they have genuinely awesome guys like Scherzer and Doolittle.

I love this team so much. I can’t enjoy my own successes, but I get all sensitive and emotional when I see anyone do the thing. And to watch it happening with the team I most love is doing all kinds off shit to me. I’ve never been a big believer in the clubhouse chemistry thing, but these guys have something special

Thanks for the kind words, and don’t worry; I definitely don’t really predicate my happiness on the outcome of the games. Baseball isn’t the key to my happiness; it just worked out that it helped to awaken some muscle memory in just being able to feel something. Maybe even more accurately it acts as my version of a

Thanks!

I’ve been a baseball fan for most of my life, and became a Nats fan shortly after the team and I both moved to DC. I love baseball, and this team, more than is really reasonable for a mostly well adjusted adult. Baseball has been the thing I’ve turned to when I needed a boost, and the Nats have been there for me when

I really like that front grille... maybe someday my eyes will accept the absence of one on electric cars, but for now that look just doesn’t work for me.

An issue for a different reason, but I found a company I used to work for blocked The New Pornographers’ website.

I actually had the 300 which appears discontinued, but it seems comparable to the 500 in capabilities. The price was more in line with what you described above. I’ve no experience with the ThermoWorks app so can’t compare them but I’d be curious to see it... the FlameBoss one is basic.

I’ve used a similar product from Flame Boss that I absolutely love. They have the added benefit of being WIFI enabled, so I can actually leave the house for a beer run or some last minute groceries, and still check on my smoke. Seeing the temperature plot over time as a dead straight line gives me so much joy.

I feel ill after reading that article.

As a man who had a full beard for years before hipsters made them annoying, I like shaving and having a clean beard. It’s a moment of treating myself in the morning. With fancy British shaving creams, and a good DE razor and blades it’s really a pleasant experience.

Be a productive adult; don’t waste time making your bed.

As someone who loves mayo I just don’t get the need to fuck with people who don’t. I think one of the best lessons I learned in life was that everyone is allowed to like whatever the fuck they want, and just because someone doesn’t like something I love doesn’t take away from my joy in the thing at all. Life is much

I love mayo; like it’s the only thing I’ll use on fries love it. But it isn’t at all required on potato salad (or anything really). By far, by a million miles, the best potato salad I’ve ever had was mayo free and had a dressing that is primarily olive oil, balsamic, and anchovies. Now I want to make some of that

I was a distance swimmer so I feel your pain! I was always tired and hurting. I wasn’t religious (thank you mom and dad for exposing me and encouraging me to question things when I was young), so I didn’t have that to turn to... I shifted my focus into really paying attention to how my body was moving through the

This... the realization of just how many options I had for spending my fall weekends without watching football all day (both days) was enlightening. It was like discovering extra days in the week.
