Likely all of the above.

Uh, I guess you get points for knowing what the Monty Hall Paradox is, but you lose them all for thinking it in any way applies to a coin toss.

In a situation where you can lock the doors, and you’re mere feet away and within easy view of them, what exactly do you think is going to happen for the 3 minutes you’re not in their immediate presence? I’d submit they’re in far greater danger playing in the living room while you’re cooking dinner.

I was just giving you shit... but seriously, I loved that show.

You listed all those shows and didn’t mention Phineas and Ferb... one of the best shows in all genres in recent years. This is an indictment on your character.

74 million people went to a baseball game last year... and you don’t think people are watching baseball? Team TV contracts are skyrocketing, but I guess that means we’re not watching on tv either, right? Contracts skyrocketing, because... reasons I guess?

Look, no one is saying baseball is more popular that football.

Is it truly a meme if it’s on his official facebook page? Not all words over pictures are memes. This is him, or one of his officials, ostensibly quoting himself.

My birthday is St. Patrick’s Day... same fucking problem. There really are few worse days to dry to go out drinking with your friends. Now that I’m old and have a family; the nice dinner and low-key night with them is much more fun.

Porch Bear actually *is* a black bear; but I agree that the dudes are still being dumb-asses.

These kinds of articles are the exact reason I come to Deadspin.

When I started writing that I actually wrote something about “but the punchline was a kicker...” and I just couldn’t figure out how to fulfill that with “and then we all got laid off... hahaha.” I still actually miss that job every time I think about it, but that party was a hell of a kick in the balls.

I missed the call for stories, and there isn’t really much to this one; but this one takes the cake for me.

I guess this was about 5 years ago, and I was working at a small biotech company. As is the case with most small biotechs in the pharma space we had everything riding on the success of our primary program.

Honestly, I’m no pop fan by any stretch; but I kinda think it makes for way better half-time shows than washed up old rock bands that were good 30 years ago.

It would have been nice to go 24 hours without this topic coming up again. Uggh.

I might have started off more snarky than civil, but I got there :-). I appreciate the good conversation too though. The only way we’re going to improve the gun issue, is to have honest conversations from both sides and admit that we have to find some middle ground.

I don’t think they should be shot (or at least not killed), because most of the time that dude isn’t there to shoot anyone. If the girl gives him the money he’s going to leave, insurance is going to cover their losses, and the cops are probably going to catch the dude. States with fleeing felon laws scare the shit out

Robbery is not, and should not be punishable by death. You and your gun carrying buddies should not feel entitled to be the hand of justice. *This* is why the rest of us don’t want all you mother fuckers carrying guns everywhere. Just because someone does something shitty, doesn’t mean they should get shot up by 10

I’m sorry, but you’re completely wrong about how one should go about using sarcasm correctly.

That’s a bullshit argument. Maybe more lives would have been saved, and maybe more civilians would have been caught in the crossfire of a gun battle. Or maybe the first shots are fired and an off-duty cop turns and pulls out his gun, sees someone with his gun drawn and assumes it’s a bad guy; turns out though that it

My intent wasn’t really to ride a high horse; I was just trying to talk some shit about my brother’s team on Thanksgiving while trying to acknowledge that my teams fare no better when it comes to the moral high ground.
