By having even a basic understanding of how such a virus is deemed dangerous or transmissible and approaching that with even a low level of caution can certainly be helpful. Such proclamations certainly do not help contain a virus like this, but when people stop caring (like yourself) it significantly increases the likelihood of the virus to spread. Just be glad you live in an area that you don’t have to have one ounce of worry and can even stop caring all together (ie. privilege).
