I don’t think this summary is right. The vote was 54-42 in favor of the bill, but Democrats were able to stop it from advancing because moving bills in the Senate basically requires a super-majority of at least 60 votes.

What your describing would effectively kill Kickstarter, and demonstrates a serious lack of understanding of how game development works.
It’s not an extreme situation. The headline is misleading. The woman knows she’s going to have a C-section and has enlisted the ACLU to have a tubal ligation done at the same time.
Though I have never in my life written in the comments section, I find myself unable to resist. As a registered nurse who currently works at a “faith based” hospital but who is not at all a religious person myself, I have to say all of these generalizations regarding faith based hospitals smack of ignorance and…
I try to explain this at least once a week on Jezebel and I never even make a dent.
This isn’t about Republicans, this is about Catholics. There’s not actually a huge amount of overlap between those groups.
To be fair, the Hippocratic Oath also included no abortions in some cases, so most doctors don’t take it as medical law anyway.
I am so anti-religion that sometimes I annoy myself. But in cases such as this, the patient is at fault. She chose a doctor affiliated with a CATHOLIC hospital. News flash: they’re kind of against birth control just a leeeeeeeeeetle bit. They started enforcing it before she got pregnant.
The AP wrote: “ Deleted emails often can be recovered from a device that has not been ‘wiped,’. . .”, which is true— for some value of “often.”
I know, taking multimillion dollar bribes from corporations in exchange for lucrative contracts with foreign governments and then refusing to turn over your private server until the incriminating emails can be purged is so yawn.
C’mon. I can have a raging ladyboner over P&P and still not want to give myself pneumonia wearing a wet tissue-paper-thin dress.
And at we’ll all be eating toast with chocolate jimmies and Nutella for breakfast, and it will all have been worth it.
I’m for it as long as we don’t turn into Belgium and eventually start allowing doctors to (what’s the word...kill? assisted suicide?) people who are depressed and even people who haven’t given explicit consent. That is the only thing that makes me nervous about this. Also, I can imagine several horrible ways…
yeah, generally I think it’s not a big deal, but I can see where this woman would be upset or annoyed - they should have been up-front with her when she made the appointment. Or, like, the nice thing to do would be to say, “oh, man we messed up when we booked you. We don’t usually do women clients, but we’ll make an…
Every time this comes up just ask - is the email issue a big deal to you? And if you say “no” then ask yourself - then what about her is a big deal to you, positive or negative? I want people in Hillary discussion to actively start telling me why in the hell she’s qualified to be President. And don’t respond with…
I don’t mean to be a dick. Seriously this isn’t a dick post.
Sheepsplain? Ugh fuck ewe
