I’m 5'1". Walking briskly is usually at least 15 min/mile. (4 mph). But I also run medium length distances (5k mostly, sometimes up to 5 miles) and I’m not jogging at more than 11 minute miles unless I’m pushing the double stroller.

Kids understand that not everyone likes everything. Is it so wrong that my 2 year old says “I think I want to give you a hug” before he does it. Or he gives hugs and kisses when I ask for them? And I do the same. Is it so hard to say "can I have a hug?" or "Who wants a hug?"
Nope, not creepy if you do it right. My stepdad was a tickler and I still hate hate hate it because it made me horribly uncomfortable. I ask my own children if they want a tickle. If they say no, I won’t. But my 4 year old loves it. She onlyhas positive connotations.
When you take the online test, no need to phrase as a question. Fill in the blank and just wait for the timer to count down, teacher than hitting enter. It’ll help you calm down and not rush. You probably only need 35 of 50 to move forward. Make sure you read the category each time, maybe the answer starts with a…
mine did, I had a lot of postpartum body issues and was just too touched out especially while breastfeeding to have anyone else come near them. Loved nipple play both before and after, but definitely not while breastfeeding. But that’s just one person’s experience. Nobody ever tasted my breastmilk except my babies.
Both are excellent.
The chocolates and macadamia nuts that are also packaged in Southern California? You can buy them at Walgreens now. Reminds me of bringing Ghiradelli back to Ohio which you can now buy at every Target. But, I also bought a ton of pecan pralines and divinity at a Stuckey’s in Florida during my last work trip because…
I had ALL the 8-minute DVDs (abs, arms, buns, legs, stretch, and one more I’m forgetting). I found them on youtube a few years ago, much easier than turning on the PS3. I also like to do a Walk Away the Pounds some mornings, used to check them out of the library.
Yep, I wouldn’t call us “co-sleepers” but my first went through a six month period of only sleeping from midnight to 6AM if I was laying next to her. I could nurse her to sleep and put her down in the crib at 7 to 8 but she’d wake up again and I just couldn’t get her back down without laying with her. Luckily, we’d…
Is there a proper way to drain grease from ground beef? My mom always moved all the beef to one side of the pan and then used paper towels to sop up the grease that accumulated on the other side and now that’s what I do too.
Unfortunately, both the pill and an IUD help many women with their severe periods. I’m sorry that they didn’t work for your wife, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that those doctors were wrong or not listening to her unless they refused to admit that those options weren’t working for her.
Don’t worry, there’s a good chance they’ll go back to normal. I was a solid 34B that bought a fancy 34F nursing bra during the first few weeks of nursing baby #1. With baby #2, nothing I owned was big enough during the first few weeks. It wasn’t long after he weaned and I stopped pumping that all the weight fell off,…
This is part of the reason I rarely refer to my children by their name (I only use a first initial) when discussing them online. We don’t talk about them on Facebook or share photos of their faces. My instagram account is primarily to share photos with family and friends across the country and I am very careful to…
Yep, no beets ever. A co-worker tried to convince me they tasted like “earth” as if that’s different from “dirt”. My own fault for working with a bunch of geologists and soil scientists.
I love, love, love that my kids are in a great daycare. It’s an in-home situation so it’s cheaper but they still do a full preschool curriculum and the ages are mixed which I really love. My 2 and 4 year old do the full day together now that he’s old enough to sit still for circle time. When I’m home with them, I’m…
Yep, that’s exactly why I clicked through.
I just can’t imagine. Of course, you might also make that much more than we do.
For once, a good reason to live in the burbs. We’re at a large in-home daycare but they do a complete preschool program and I actually prefer having the kids in a mixed age group setting. I know we’re getting a good deal, plus a sibling discount.
If your employer offers that option.
Even if she WASN’T breastfeeding, isn’t she entitled a break during those 5 to 7 hours?
