There are lots of things that Word things are mispelled, including my first name most of the time. Squiggly lines be damned.
Ugh, twin names can be the worst. My 2 year old was in a class with a Jace and a Jacinda (isn’t that the same name?). And another class with Mateo and Michaela (though they probably spelled it with a Y and an H or something else silly)
Nothing wrong with a good Phillip. I named my kids “older” names too, common enough to always get right but nowhere in the top 100. But then I met another young mom and she said “That’s my parents names!”
If you can’t get to a free flu shot clinic and/or your health insurance sucks, a flu shot at Costco is $19.99 and you don’t have to be a member to use their pharmacy.
I think she was “born” a vampire. Her parents are vampires. I don’t really understand the household though, she kinda has a gargoyle and a ghost as her nannies? And there’s a skeleton that cooks for them.
The game we bought too. Four player, all boy dogs. My daughter wanted to know why there was no “Skye” for her to use. I told her “misogyny.”
And yet still slightly better than Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
but at least the farmer and mayor are female too? Luckily, my kids don’t really like Paw Patrol. We’re a Bubble Guppies/Team Umizoomi/Blaze and the Monster Machines/Rusty Rivets household, with a big focus on Umizoomi right now.
I saw her the other day while re-watching The League (the fantasy football comedy). I gasped a little but my husband still has no idea who she is.
except they already did. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1321805/
It’s the best! I love how they included Radiohead (but not Creep) and that she immediately turned it off in the movie.
Class of ‘96 represent!
And I brought my own pillow. I hate hospital pillows. I also brought my nursing pillow, so much better than anything they had.
All great advice! I also recommend buying up a size or two in tanks/bras for the first few weeks. When I was engorged, I barely owned anything that could cover my ginormous boobs.
oh my god, the night sweats! I felt like I was the only person that had ever dealt with it like that. I had the most awful alternating chills and sweats the first couple weeks, but only after baby #2. After baby #1 I had some strange swelling in my hands and could barely move my fingers each morning for the first six…
Yes and yes. I highly recommend the Always version of “adult” diapers to help you get through the post-birth bleeding. Mine was about 6 weeks. The tucks pads are great too. I also recommend a sitz bath and stool softeners. That first bowel movement was almost as bad as childbirth. And I only had a second degree tear,…
you need all the stars. I actually had to read it twice.
I regret not being able to breastfeed for longer, so more power to you. My daughter was weaned at 15 months because I was pregnant and it was painful, plus my doctor recommended it. Then my son self weaned by a year. By eight months, he would only nurse when he was tired and it just got harder and harder to get him to…
I’ve used it occasionally for the last year and it’s worked fine. Everyone I’ve picked up has been at most 5 minutes out of my way and we get to use the carpool lane for most of the drive. If I wasn’t available, they would use uber or the like but waze is much cheaper. I even started driving a couple women outside the…
