My mom used to teach “Wizard of Earthsea” to freshmen or sophomores. She fell in love with the whole Earthsea ‘trilogy’ but despised every attempt at movie adaptation.

Do they pronounce Willamette correctly in the movies? I listened to the audiobook and the butchering of the word almost made me give up. It’s Willamette, damn it.

I love group training classes but I’m not surprised that they underpay the instructors.

That’s impressive. Do you have kids? It’s the daycare expenses that really keep us from maxing out anything. Even with a relatively inexpensive daycare I’m paying about $19K/year for the two kids combined.

I love win+arrow to automatically move the window around. win+left arrow pushes it to the left half of monitor. win+up makes it full screen. win+down minimizes.

I love Shift-F3. Similarly, I like using F4 in Excel to rotate through all the absolute reference options in a cell.

Thank you for writing this. I definitely fell into the baby blues the first two weeks, more so with baby #1 than baby #2. I remember writing an e-mail to my mom when she was 6 days old about what a failure I was and how I’d made a terrible mistake. She was up every two hours to nurse and I felt like I needed to clean

I disagree, we’ve had fraud three times on our chase checking and I’ve been the one to find it each time. Close account, reopen new account, do it again two years later.

I wonder how “rural” is “rural.” Like, I grew up in a small town (6,000 people) and it was very agricultural but it was also only about an hour from a major city and another larger city. I think the early sex is just part of the lack of things to do and lack of motivation to think bigger. They aren’t going to college

I got one for Christmas too! I had put it on my amazon wish list just to keep track of it and my mom up and bought it for me. :) I think we’ll replace our old George Foreman with it.

I love Winco! Ours is walkable from our house, if you count 1.2 miles.

but I’m not even sure anymore what counts as an itemized deduction or what the limit changed to. The bill was like a moving target, hard to keep track of. I think we’ll have our $10K in SALT and another $8K+ in mortgage interest but I don’t think there’s anything else that would put us over $24K. so I guess we’ll be

Each of my kids had a stuffed animal for portraits, monthly until they are two and yearly after that. Hope we keep it up till they are 18'

We have insisted on having our kids wake up Christmas morning at home, but we do the grandparents the day before. We put on Christmas pjs, get in the car, and drive home late on Christmas eve. Then Santa and mommy/daddy presents are under the tree.

We’ve got childcare at the local theatre. Haven’t tried it yet, only the oldest is old enough.

I just posted the same thing! It’s a nice enough monkey zoo, but we mostly go for the playground equipment.

I’m guessing the Santa Ana Zoo had some monkeys to spare. It’s known as the 50 monkey zoo. The donation that started the zoo stipulated they had to have at least 50 monkeys at all times. http://www.santaanazoo.org/educatid.htm

Nope, Wings was amazing and still is. I used to watch it in re-runs on weekdays mornings on USA when I should’ve been in class. Re-watched the whole serious on Netflix a couple years ago. Tim Daly and Steven Weber are still great and man, it gave us Tony Shalhoub.

I want a good picture and comfortable seats. I took my 3 year old to see Coco yesterday and the viewing we picked put us in a tiny theatre with the seats that she isn’t heavy enough for. She also couldn’t really see because it wasn’t stadium seating. I should’ve driven a little farther for reserved seats but instead I
