California has some sweet benefits (pregnancy disability leave pay through state disability insurance) but that’s not one of them. We paid out of pocket for two medicated IUIs and had already paid $7,000 for IVF but found out at my first ultrasound that I was actually already pregnant. They refunded my money.

I feel that, my husband was the same way. It took 2.5 years and I had some painful surgery and medicine to treat my endometriosis. My family knows but his still doesn’t. Luckily we got pregnant before paying for IVF.

I hate that we’re already dealing with this and our kids are eighteen months and still in utero. I wasn’t the best due them but our starter house is in a poorly rated district and we’d be assigned to the worst elementary. Is it horribly xenophobic to not want her to be the only white kid in the classroom? We’re

I was just about to post something to this effect. My sister-in-law’s car was stolen from in front of her new apartment last weekend and she’d been lax about emptying it out. She lost her wallet and a copy of her credit and background checks that were done as part of the application process for the new place. She’s

Awesome, just what I need this afternoon. That spotify user just got followed, lots of good playlists.

Whaddup Class of 1996! How did 20 years go by so fast?

We were totally talking about her at lunch today and had to look it up. Hard to believe she’s 48 but Locomotion came out in 1988.

I think Albertson’s actually bought Vons (Safeway), not the other way around. Not that I typically go to either since their non-sale prices are much too high. Target and Winco (with the occasional Ralphs visit) get it done for me. I love the Market Pantry and Up&Up products at Target.

me too, September 24. 15 more weeks seems like forever and it feels like time slows down as we get closer.

You’ll survive. We had #1 when I was 35 and my husband was 34 and #2 is coming later this year at 37 and 36.

that sounds like what we termed night terrors. my little big was basically in a fugue state, not awake/not asleep and not completely aware of her surroundings. She wouldn’t respond to her name and would push us away. Whatever you call it, it’s tough.

We went through that from about 8 months to 14 months. She was up once or twice a night after being an amazing sleeper from birth. I just ended up getting up with her the first time and sleeping with her (in the bed in her room) for the rest of the night. I think it was just developmental issues (like you said) and

we went through a night terror phase too but it only lasted a few weeks and she only did it once or twice a night. If we got her out of the crib she’d just run away from us and scream her head off. We learned to just let her either stop screaming or wake herself up and then we’d help her calm down and fall back

You have the big anatomy ultrasound at about 19 to 20 weeks, where they look closely at the heart and shine and other visible structures. I’m almost 23 weeks with number two and I have to go back for a follow-up so they can get some more shots of the heart because baby boy wouldn’t cooperate last time. It would be

What is wrong with you? Notre Dame had been our rival MUCH longer than UCLA in that they have always been a worthy opponent. Now, don’t get me wrong, I hate UCLA and beating them three times in basketball this year was beyond glorious. But give your friend some credit for appreciating the USC Notre Dame rivalry. And

which is going away in a month.

Try NY&Co, cheaper than Express (especially with better sales). A couple times a year they give out mystery cards and I’ve gotten $100 of clothing free twice.

My husband is the native Californian and I can’t get him to take shorter showers but I, the midwestern transplant, rarely flush. (I think that’s more a hold over of being poor as a kid.) But we only water our lawn twice a week now.

Me too, I was awful at the buzzer. But I blanked on final jeopardy so it wouldn’t have mattered anyway. And the winner went on to the tournament of Champions

If it helps, they keep the studio really cold
