It’s actually a requirement all over Europe. A Friend had installed so HID headlights (aftermarket) on his car, got fined because he didn’t have the washers.

Meh. (Yeah, I can’t find a better picture, or video for that matter, of the Activa moose test). After 15 years (and couting), the Xantia Activa remains the fastest car @ 85 km/h. Second fastest is the 996 GT2, at 82. Results from here :
Did they really just melt chocolate in the microwave??? Why oh why would you do that?
I got a beer there. Let’s say I enjoyed the shit out of that 6€ Kronenbourg...
Yep, Zetros Campervan all the way!
Viky is a great host, and we know she can kick some ass on the track (well except Tiff’s, but that because he is cray when behind a wheel). And Sabine Scmidt is an awesome driver (though being german, she’s not funny by definition). Anyway, I’d love to see a female host on new Top Gear. It’s about time the female on…
Put a V12 in that Rally fighter, and you’ll be even closer.
When I went there a couple years back they only had Priis.... Have you stopped by Fiat/Alfa-Romeo further down the Avenue? They have some pretty great stuff usually, and when I went there last time, they had an original 8C, a couple rally cars (Punto S2000, as well as a Delta) and a Cheerokee SRT8.
Awesome opening shots on that video! And you got a Matra too! That’s awesome !!
Ah, my father used to writes his pace notes the same way as the co-driver in the video. And awesome video btw!
Check out Piano Man by Billy Joel :)
As long as it’s not half-assed (read: as long as they don’t make it like they make a Laguna), and knowing where it’s going to be made (Dieppe, Alpine factory) build quality shouldn’t be an issue. And the car is probably going to be part of Renault Sport, rather than Renault, so hopefully this will yield better results.
Oh yeah, at €75k it’s going to be a hard seller. From what I got when talking with people at Renault (when it was still a Alpine/Caterham project, back in 2012), they were looking in the €45/65k price range.
£50k seems a bit high, especially considering that Renault (when working with Caterham) was looking at making a ~55/60k€ car. That’s still expensive. But the Mégane RS that they sell at almost 40k€ sells really well, so I’m pretty sure they can make it with a more expensive car, especially if it’s wearing an Alpine…
Exactly. And this car will be produced in Dieppe (the genuine Alpine factory). For the launch of the Clio RS they were making around 25 cars/day (without working on weekends and a couple of closed weeks during summer). I don’t really see them making more than 2000 cars per year, that would make sense considering the…
Exactly. And when they announced dates it usually means it’s going to be delayed anyway (like Sherlock series 4 which was scheduled for early 2015, and we are know expecting it for early 2016).
This was basically a body they put on a Howe and Howe Ripsaw. And they make all kind of other cool stuff.
Sure they are mostly amateurs, but where do you get that they have to pay for that? Most of those people (excluding the 17 pro on board) are volunteers, and they actually have to work on the boat. In total they have around 150 volunteers for the whole trip, that were trained to be able to accomplish the tasks they’ll…
Despite the wrong divide of the triple tone, it looks like it was inspired by a 2CV Charleston.
I didn’t even know that this was an automatic fail in France. Makes sense though...
