I’m not sure, apparently it’s called the Monte-Carlo GT1 and it was a one-off. Found an article about it : https://www.carthrottle.com/post/wbpxrzx/
That truck is interesting ! It seems like it’s a “thing” for theses small companies to try to punch above their weight.
Yes ! Give it to me in miami blue with PTS (that’s Peugeot Talbot Sport) Speedline wheels !
It’s 100% a prototype. It’s just a carbon fibre body with bits from the 908 Le Mans racer under it.
The 208 T16 wasn’t a hot rally car. It was a Le Mans prototype in disguise.
In theory, a triumphant return to Circuit Paul Ricard seems great. That is, until you consider the traffic fiascos (make sure you read that whole thread) that were so bad they resulted in an actual, real life, official FIA statement.
As Renault Sport and Alpine have stated, it’s because offering only the automatic helps keep the weight of the car low. I think they’ve also said the automatic double clutch gearbox is lighter than an equivalent manual.
My car got totaled in early December (someone pushed into the guy in front...), so I need something to replace my trusty old Citroën Xsara. I’m looking to replace it either with a Golf VI with the 140hp TDI (but they’re still crazy expensive for a clean one in Carat) or a Saab 9-3 Diesel or Biopower (but I’m not sure…
Not yet. The new Commodore is going to be based off a Peugeot Opel Insignia (the one you guys get as a Buick in the US).
Older ones with more miles on the odo are going for 16k€ and 23k€ for ones with the same kind of mileage...
It is the same engine though. But with 70 more hp.
Peugeot said there’s was too much damage to the car, and that they wouldn’t be able to repair in the allowed time.
It’s hard to understand the appeal of the big VAG cars that cost an arm and a leg to maintain, but once you’ve driven one, you get it. My parents have a Passat with the V6 TDI engine, it’s quite expensive to maintain it (not AllRoad level though), and it had it quirks and stuff like that , but so far, if I had to…
It's more team "order the car with no badge" than anything else
There's also the fact that manufacturers offer a no-badge option on their cars (and it's free, and yes, even from Porsche). Add in the fact that we mostly order our cars to spec when we buy them, and it's easy to understand why many cars have no badge.
It’s going to be the same way they do it already. Too many people on the stage and they won’t stay in the spectators areas or get out of the danger ones? Stage cancelled (It actually happens quite a lot more than you could think for major events around here)
Yes. But there’s a difference between filming from the side of the stage and flying over it with a several kg object that might fell out of the sky anytime, without any way to control it then.
Nice pictures you posted on your kinja ! You should come see us over at Photography :)
Sure, but it also exposes the threat of cancelled stages because of a bunch of idiots who wanted to film with a drone while not being accredited (the drone can be over the stage, which can be dangerous for the competitors) or not having a proper licence to opperate them commercially (which it is because they are going…
