I think it's more a question of whether the movie business will be viable at all... especially the kind of giant superhero/space movies that we all love. With 3-D ticket sales having crashed, I get the feeling worldwide box office has been the main driver of movie profitability. Until now.

as long as ticket prices continue to rise I don't see one billion being a problem

It took three panels to destroy Spider-Man Reign's credibility. The only thing good that came from this story is that this version of Spider-Man died in Spider-Verse.

Oh holy crap, I had totally forgotten about this book. It was fantastic.

On the off chance that Dan Simmons was correct in his story, "Vanni Fucci is Alive and Well and Living in Hell," that Dante's version of hell is the accepted one, having committed this book to memory has given me a good escape plan to work with. Plus it has one of the best opening lines ever:

"I will not sleep! No, sir. No, ma'am.

Summer Knight is my favorite of the series and the one I've read the most, since I usually read from book 4 through the last one when a new book comes out. Plus I really like Butcher's Nevernever and the sidhe. My next favorite in the series is probably Changes.

Things get real when it's about family. Also events in this book changes the whole landscape of the series.

My favorite of Stephen King's Dark Tower series. It doesn't get bogged down by the "INCLUDE ALL OF MY WORKS!" rubbish of the later books, while it has a more alive and functioning world than the first three (since it takes place before the fall of Gilead).

I grew frustrated with the characters in the last Chronicles because they spend countless pages upon pages standing around arguing about things and precious little time actually doing anything at all. It did not make for a compelling story and in no way captured the magic of the first set, or even the second.

Hard to say but it'd be a toss up between:

Green Eggs and Ham. I'm easily in the triple digits on readings, and I wouldn't be surprised if I hit four digits one day. I keep coming back to the book because my daughter refuses to go to sleep until she's heard it.

Dead Beat by Jim Butcher.

Mine are all book series:

Why don't you make like a tree and get out of here.

I am so sick to death of these statements about the disposability of Peter Parker from the mantle of Spider-Man. Yeah Bendis did something interesting in an experimental alternate universe and I've enjoyed it because it did not threaten the real Peter Parker/Spider-Man. It was harmless and made for good stories.

We need to make Peter Parker a chinese lady.. then we can prove how truly diverse we are. :)
