Reading this, and having two daughters, I was emotional (and am right now dammit) to see a strong female lead become a jedi like that and show young girls that they can be strong and do whatever they want too. Very powerful moment in the film.

This might sound unbelievable coming from me, but I just gave my Inner Cynic a Christmas chore list and sent it away for two-and-a-quarter hours. The Force Awakens is very far from a perfect film, but it’s a slick entertainment that was smarter (and more heart-felt) than was strictly necessary. That’s all I really…
Yeah, this shot was in the film, but the monologue wasn’t. The monologue was recorded just for the trailer.
Laugh it up fuzz ball.
“I brought my 8-year-old daughter to see this. I turned to her when Rey unwields the lightsaber for the first time and she had a HUGE grin on her face.
We do see Luke touching R2, but we don’t hear that monologue. And the lightsaber being handed to Leia definitely does not happen.
and the aptly named "Sir Not Appearing In This Film"
For the most part the first 6 films don’t have much added to them. *puts fingers in ears* hanshotfirst
So, what you’re saying is: 3.5 hour Director’s Cut is on the way!
ok guys i totally know it was daniel craig now
My main issue with that is why don’t Han and Leia seem to know her? Why are they so broken up over losing Kylo but not Rey?
Luke was on an island at the end... Half-life 3 confirmed?
I need a video of an old lady going ‘That’s not how the Force works, that’s not how any of this works’. That Han line SLEW the theatre I saw TFA in.
The Luke voiceover is lifted directly from Return of the Jedi.

The plot was an issue. It was basically a remake of ANH combined with a sprinkle of ROTJ.
I really can’t agree. What’s kept me watching The 100 is how the show consistently defies my expectations for it to be about pretty people with problems, and force characters to make tough choices that make their emotional bullshit irrelevant. It would be cheating to let Finn walk after establishing the show isn’t…
*SPOILERS FOR THE 100*
Knight Rider was amazing. But of course, being German, I’m partial.... :)
