@Sickofitall: "Console gamers know there is nothing better until a new console comes out and that is, again, a one-time purchase."

@gordo789: Variety of games?????

@Rachel Fogg: Skies of Arcadia is a better game than Modern Warfare will ever be.

@CapnCourage: Regardless of what? It's exactly his point: CS has such a dedicated fanbase cause people love it and it's a great game, and all of this after 10 years. Modern Warfare 2 can't match those numbers in the first week with all the hype it got. #modernwarfare2

@GreatMario: "FFX sold better than FFX-2/FFXII and FFVII sold better than FFVIII/FFIX"

@Cynical1: Plenty good previews in fact, and it got 40/40 on Famitsu (for what it counts). Besides the fact that it's indeed developed by Devil May Cry's creator and the Platinum Games team hasn't put out a bad game yet (Okami, Viewtiful Joe, Godhand, Madworld).

@Antiterra: So I'm the only one thinking good games should be left alone and not milked dry or destroyed by horrible sequels. Having sequels over sequels also helps the game to not feel unique anymore.

@Zombonk: It's funny. I always thought that the CC series was shallow and not interesting. This instead is the first significant and interesting game in the series in my opinion. Feels fresh, fun and has an actual story. #finalfantasycrystalchroniclesc...

Fact: people complain about sequels all the time asking for new, original stuff.

I don't get the reasoning behind the "who gave 1 penny is a cheap bastard" argument.

It's a no brainer it didn't go well. They asked gamers themselves to throw away their own games. If people believe games shouldn't be violent, then they wouldn't buy them in first place, hence they wouldn't have anything to throw away.

@udonhv2noe: Because Mario games always have a certain degree of difference between them. In Halo you shoot things, only things changing from an iteration to the next one are weapons and graphics.

It's a clever rebus to joke about the reputation of the three consoles:

Using half nude girls to promote something which has nothing to do with them. Never been done before. Good marketing department you have Namco... [kotaku.com]

"I think we're willing to take a little bit more risk than a competitor like Nintendo is"

@joncrofts: The article says it's probably Visceral's new game.

@curly haired boy: Yeah, for once everybody wins. I'm satisfied of this turn of events. Good move Nintendo, hope to see this everywhere as long as it means a harder game for me. (Zelda WW, PH or even TP were piece of cakes confronted with their ancestors)
