Are you sure about that? That he’s not a federal employee? He’s technically training for the job. He is in the staffing process — for a federal job. He even has offices in DC that are paid for by our taxes (and not being used). So all of this and he’s just, what? A freelancer?

Well he knows! He’s been to Austin. I’m taking a wild guess here by saying he went during SX, never left his gang of start-up-preneurs, and went to all the parties on the roped-off Rainey St.

You have no idea what you’re talking about. “I’ve been there! I know!” I won’t defend the rest of the state but I will defend Austin.

If I sound too certain in my response, it will come off like I follow these people. I don’t - but I do watch the show. From the news that manages to trickle down to me, the main people only work at the restaurant when the show is filming. Jax tried to start a sweater business, Kristen - t-shirts, Katie - blog, Stassi

I like Daily Beast’s policy to take all discussion to other social media sites.

Jezebel is a blog. We’re here for community and it’s mostly an echo chamber of our own beliefs. I find a lot of relief when reading the Daily Beast knowing I’m not tempted to look at the comments. Sometimes, STFU, is the best policy. Don’t like what you see? Then go away.

That’s sort of the point. It shouldn’t be news. But commenters disagree. Comment sections are one the worst things that happened to the human race.

I’m just floored when I get in these debates with people who are otherwise pretty damn bright. Even Ira Glass recently interviewed his uncle and when they got to the part about Obama deporting more people than Bush, the uncle said he just doesn’t believe the numbers the government released. When the uncle said that no

The last issue already shipped and the fired editors have vacated their desks.

I once saw a therapist for at least 4 weeks before I realized I thought her name was something different. Meh. Who cares. I didn’t even like her. Fired her after like 4 months. Still not exactly positive what her name is.

Libby (sorry, eating soup. Can’t look up her namer right now) is on Rectify.

Every time I get into a “debate” with one of these people now, my stock response is “You’re deflecting.” It stops them right in their tracks because their only strategy is to go to, “Well what about when Crooked Hillary did it!” “If Trump were to call democrats deplorable, people would be calling for the gas

While I agree with you that the Republican playbook is far more effective than the Dems, it’s hard for me to feel good about stooping to their level. I never thought the words “sore winners” could ever have such a negative and contemptible connotation. Here’s what we’ll remember about this campaign season: Lock Her Up

First lady doesn’t get paid.

Yep. I saw it. And stand by what I said. I always thought a “fuckton” meant more than just some blogs and websites that makes its money mostly off the backs of actual journalists.

Like everyone, you’re just angry. I keep thinking, “non-voters, they’re the ones!” “White educated women, they did this!” “Evangelicals are at it again!” Just anger. It’s time to do something and stop seething. That won’t get us anywhere.

It fits with the realty tv show Oprah aired about how she makes her TV show — just after she launched her network, if I recall correctly. Every single person worked much past dark. Of course, if that was filmed in February, March, it could still be 6pm. But the production lasted for months so there had to be lots of

Megyn Kelly’s birthday ... I think there’s a connection.

It was on Daily Beast earlier this afternoon.
