Nice choice of names for your machines... The most recent batch I've named (at work) are all from the same mythology - odin, mjolnir, sleipnir, loki, asgard, etc.
The linked-to version is the 'lite' version. Did they not export a lite version?

I can't get the app to not crash every time I try to input a 'custom' beverage... the only two standard beverages are coffee and tea.
When the earpads on your MDR-v6's wear out (or even before then), I highly recommend the velour replacement pads from Beyerdynamic: [www.bhphotovideo.com] I have had a pair of MDR-v6 'phones since the 90s that I have always treated well, but eventually the earpad material just started flaking off. The Beyer earpads…
When you sell your car, it's going to be really easy to convince the person buying it that you did that paint job on purpose, and it's not because your car was in an unreported accident and has been resprayed....
What kind of steel do they use in their knives? It's worth it to me to have a high-cost blade (VG10, etc) if the high cost also buys a blade that will hold a sharper edge for longer, and be more rust-resistant than a standard "high-carbon" blade (like cheap 420, 420HC, 440, etc, steel).

I do this from time to time, with avocados that are just fine (not overripe/gross/etc), although I do keep my knives pretty dang sharp. In my neck of the woods it rises in the SE and sets in the SW.
I think you're thinking of Lethal Weapon (2?) — and you are right about using sudden impacts to put dislocated joints back into place (in that it is a bad idea).
You don't really want to fashion a tourniquet unless you're sure that amputating will save your life. What you really want to do is apply enough pressure to stop the bleeding without having to hold the pressure yourself, which isn't quite the same thing.
The most recent update seems to have fixed that for all of the sites (like Lifehacker) that gave it fits, except for my work's Peoplesoft site.
Make sure you take advantage of educational/workplace/etc discounts that may be available to you. And if none of them do, make sure you use [store.apple.com] to get a decent deal on a warrantied refurb (assuming cash is still a concern by the time you're close to affording one).
