I'm basically ready to pack my stuff into my Constellation and live in Star Citizen when it releases.

A single blade with a counterweight is not really mindblowing. It's what many competition grade RC planes use, because it allows for the motor to run at higher speed and control without the blades hitting the turbulence of the blade in front of them. But I don't see any advantage for a much slower-rpm helicopter.
