I'm saying that it sounds like that. Logically, what their software is doing is going past the volume limits set by the OS. Therefore, editing some kind of system files could do the same for free. Theoretically.

Yes! I've been waiting for this to happen over all. DVD drives just give extra weight. It's something I use once a year! My desktop does not even need a DVD drive.
