Good point. It would not be difficult to make this ramp automatic with a chain driven motor.

According to GM Inside News the Z/28 is 100lbs lighter. Not quite "tons" but still better than nothing. Whether or not it will make a difference remains to be seen.

And now it is time for Automatch's obligatory wagon post-

NP, I will be sure to make a note of your post next time a Subie question comes up. Thanks.

Yeah I apparently did not think this through, E39 M5 FTW. Conversation over.

QOTD for tomorrow. What is the best used Uber German car you can get for less than 35K?

Within those wings, there are more wings. The aerodynamics actually work in multiple dimensions.

Interesting point especially considering mobility converted vehicles, mostly minivans, are very expensive. Something small, affordable, and maneuverable would sell very will with the mobility crowd.

Absolutely but it looks like a tight vehicle, some mobility converted mini-vans are hard to turn around in.

Went though two clutches in about 25k miles. After the 3rd clutch was installed the mechanic said "I think there is more to this, but it will take me a lot of time and you a lot of money to find out. This clutch could last for 50k or 5k I don't really know, if I were you I would trade it for something with a

You know that is an excellent question and frankly I'm not sure what the official policy on this one is. I would hope that the driver would offer assistance if needed, but since lawyers ruin it for everyone I would not be surprised if drivers where hesitant to do so. I will be curious to see how this plays out.

We are getting the wagon sometime in 2014

No worries, that was a perfectly reasonable question.

Most Americans don't, which explains the low sales figures. The Jalop community is a small but enthusiastic wagon fan-base.

We used the subway once, it sucked for that reason. We don't use the buses, usually just drive around and find parking.

No, most folks with mobility impairments prefer to enter a vehicle front-ways especially if they are not assisted. Also exiting backwards is not the worst thing especially if you are on a steep incline, some people with paralysis don't always have the best balance so rolling front ways down a steep ramp can be dicey.

This is awesome, my wife uses a wheelchair and we do like to visit NYC on occasion. So it is good to know we have the option of taking a cab, instead of constantly hunting for parking or using the subway.

I had a '05 Legacy wagon GT 5-speed loved it but had to get rid of it due to clutch problems. Some were fine, some were crap so if you find one keep an eye out for that.
