I'm the last guy to talk someone out of a wagon, but from a functional perspective the minivan does beat the wagon (from a FUN-ctional perspective, wagon hands down). If you are moving more than 4 people and their stuff wagons can be tight. Minivans are good for families and I don't disparage them, crossovers on the…
I am totally hunting CPO A4 Avants, I have forgiven them for the lack of a manual trans because a) they look so damn good as you have pointed out b) they corner really well and c) wagon. I would buy this one if it wasn't so expensive, I love Audis in white and it is an S-line.
Yes, despite the perfect trifecta of manual, diesel, wagon it is not the best looking car of the bunch. Not ugly, but could use a little more edge.
I'm just happy I made the "conversation of the day.""
The STI 5-door could definitely keep up with the RS4 from a performance perspective, but yest you are right the fit and finish is not quite the same. Having driven an STI, the interior is not even in the same universe as Audi. Don't get me wrong the Subie is an awesome car for hoonage, but the RS4 can hoon and take…
You are absolutely right about the state of wagons in this country. This is really a selfish and unrealistic fantasy regarding the RS6 Avant, like I said I would be just as happy if Audi brought back the A4 Avant, I could at least buy one of those.
Good to know, maybe I'll look into them again. I need the space, and the selection of manual wagons out there is slim to none. I was hoping for a Mazda6 Sky-D wagon but it is probably more likely that I'll win the lottery twice and get hit by lightning after buying the ticket.
Stock rims?
TDI? What year? I am considering giving one a second chance being that I am now very desperate for another wagon.
Yes I test drove one, while the IRS does make it significantly better than the Jetta sedan, compared to my Mazda3 and the TSX Sportwagen I also test-drove it came up a bit short. Which was the deciding factor in why I did not get one to replace the 3. So sloppy is a bit harsh, It is not terrible, I just want more…
There is also the sloppy handling, infusion of GTD/GTI suspension would cure that.
you may be right there, good spot.
3 toe dragon, dammit can't you at least be consistant on crap like this? And yes it does matter, because I am the type of dork that notices these things.
Dear VW,
Not that I could afford either one of them, but I would rather see Audi bring over the RS6 Avant than the RS4, because MOAR POWER!!!! Since Mercedes has the E63 Estate that needs some competition over here, also the RS6 would better fill the gap left by the CTS-V. Buy hey, I will be happy if Audi gives us any Avant…
Totally with you on that one, if I had a gabillion dollars I would make Mclaren sell me a P1 in camo paint.
I know I'm gonna catch hell for this but...does any one else think that was a really boring movie except for the car scenes?
I thought about the Outback, and I can get one with a 6-speed but I'm afriad the NA 2.5 is going to feel slow. I don't feel like a 167hp 2.5L is enough to move my Mazda, 170hp is going to be real sluggish for the OB.
