These videos are embarrassing.

Except she wasn’t a ditzy blonde. They made her very sweet and likeable and even faked us out with a possible Odd Couple pairing with the D&D guy.

Am watching Under the Banner of Heaven in which someone points out that Mormon polygamy was invented by men so that men could indulge in sex with multiple women and it was all in the name of God. That seems to be the basis for a lot of religious principles - men picking what they want and imposing it on women.

Freedom of religion also means freedom from religion. People’s religious beliefs should never be allowed to excuse abusive behavior towards others.

I was suspicious of this and fully prepared to hate it, but yeah, it is really good. In fact, I would dare to say it’s better than the original. When I was growing up, when kids were playing at someone’s house and meal time rolled around, the parent would say “Okay, it’s time for everyone to go home. We’re going to be having lunch/dinner.” unless it was an overnight or something.
