Well, as many have said over the last few months, we can’t use the term ‘avoid it like the plague’ since it’s quite obvious that a lot of humanity will do just the opposite.

The only difference being, if Biden wins, they’ll be going after people not giving a damn about the law. But gawd forbid Trump ends up stealing a win, I expect many of them will be engaging in state-sponsored violence, with the law giving them carte blanche to go after anyone they see as not being ‘American’ enough.

As much as it pains me to say this, there is nothing anyone can do to stop it. The Senate could vote on it tomorrow.

They didn’t leave any seats unfilled. McConnell wouldn’t allow any of his nominees to be passed onto the floor for consideration.

People also forget (or weren’t taught in school) that even Khrushchev had said in the past that they wouldn’t have to go to war with the US to defeat us, we would destroy ourselves from within.

Any nurse that buys into such bullshit (or worse, tries to use it on patients), should be stripped of their license and unable to become a nurse again.  Same goes for any doctors that are that goddamned stupid.

You’d be surprised, but having lived in NJ for 30+ years before moving in 2000, I can tell you that it certainly has its share of bigots and racists. Just go far enough in the northern part of the state (Warren & Sussex counties) or south into the Pine Barrens and you’ll think you ended up in some part of Mississippi…

Wow, I didn’t know all of the nasty details behind this (having only heard bits and pieces of what happened through social media), but these are people that maybe shouldn’t even have their own natural children with them? They sound like horrible parents, and it’s just downright cruel what they did to their adopted…

Police departments these days don’t want officers that are intelligent, or are willing to learn to de-escalate. They want people who are able to take and carry out orders. That’s it.

The police really really don’t want to make an enemy of the public, because when that happens you end up with guerrilla warfare, and if cops thought their jobs were dangerous before, they’d having to be thinking about booby traps and ambushes every second they’re walking the streets

Not just that, but I’d wager a lot of the people who are offering the regular Switch for wildly inflated prices are also not actually sending them to people when they order them.

The problem is, a. he’s the husband of a Democratic governor and b. he politely asked if it made a difference telling the slip/dock master that he was the husband of the governor to get his boat in faster, and was politely told no (and then the dock master took to FB to bitch about it).

Also, realize that the biggest reason they went into bankruptcy is to protect the bonuses and severance of upper management when/if thing go tits up.

She’s way too damn aligned with this administration to want to do her job. That’s why she voted present.

I’d just worry that said evidence mysteriously ‘goes missing’ in the next few days.

I’ve said on multiple occasions that McConnell is the bigger threat to America than Trump. If Trump is replaced, and McConnell remains in power, nothing changes.

I don’t know why Republicans have such a fetish for attacking SNAP, given it’s more useful than it costs dollar-to-dollar, but they do.

Trump is just the ‘useful idiot’. He’s out there providing cover for the rest of the Republican party while they turn the US into an authoritarian nightmare.

If you can believe it, it was a Canadian publication.  But it seems it’s one that is owned by a New Brunswick family that treats the media like Sheldon Adelson does here in the US.

And sadly, he saw this coming quite clearly in his book A Demon Haunted World. He saw the dumbing down of society, and also how it was being helped along by those in power.
