You are factually incorrect. Not everyone can change their birth certificate and therefore they will continue to be legally barred from the restroom that matches their gender identity / presentation.

You have the law backwards. Trans people were always allowed to use the facilities that matched their gender presentation - So the situation you outlined of you disrobing in a change room was possible.

What puts your kids at risk is this law - It forces people who look like one gender into the opposing bathroom because of their birth certificate (which cannot always be legally changed even if you’ve had surgery).

Here is people setting it up and having it work fine (depending on their set-up) less than 24 hours ago.
