I agree with this. I just didn’t focus on it in my post.

This is what I’m saying. Nowhere did I say everyone should abandon their family for a job that overworks them lol. Many people don’t have kids and want to make and save more money in their 20s.

“For some people, it will be.” I’m not sure what’s unclear about that.

Agree, every project is different and all of them can teach you things that work and don’t work. Post Mortems should be standard.

As someone who has had a special events PR job that frequently required 80+ hour weeks, I’ve always been of the opinion that crunch is acceptable if the worker is well compensated (just over minimum wage isn’t gonna cut it) with overtime and double-overtime, meal benefits, etc. Then the worker has to choose if this

I definitely had the opposite experience. I appreciated the game’s perspective that stealth kills were dishonorable, and it did occasionally give me pause when choosing how to approach a scenario, but ultimately I had little problem slaughtering in stealth mode and often tried to clear whole maps without detection as

I think both are probably worthy of a little criticism. I cleared the entire map on GoT, I can definitely be a completionist when it comes to collecting and I enjoyed doing it. The place that GoT kind of let me down was the story. It was certainly competently done and well made, but I didn’t find any of it surprising

Exactly!

I also want to point out that I think the user score gulf might have something to do with game competition to some extent.

This game became the de facto opponent to The Last of Us 2 because of when it was released, and it was championed hard by people who hated that game. So what you’d see was people review bombing

I was so excited to play this in Japanese until I saw how shitty the lip sync was. It took me out of it too much so I switched back. I’m glad it’s corrected in this release .

I thoroughly enjoyed GoT, but while it did a lot of things right, it didn’t do much we haven’t seen before for an open world game. Gorgeous and fun and easy to lose hours exploring, but the story was fairly straightforward / predictable and I found myself more interested in photo mode than continuing the quests many

Nothing, if you’re honest about it and not pretend that it’s about “female empowerment” LOL.

If you feel compelled to only create characters you want to have sex with, that’s your business (I’d suggest perhaps unpacking that with a therapist, though?). Just don’t try and tell it’s for any other reason than to get your

“I just really like to create women I can imagine having sex with because I don’t have enough of it in real life.”

Fixed that for you.

I thought the toggle was a good way to allow players to choose their content, personally. The game is incredible either way, and review bombers are trash, I just felt like the issue had been addressed without fully removing it.

That being said to my recollection it’s just a couple moments in the game, so no big loss.

Honestly I did the same thing. I in no way thought they had sex. I thought it was just like passing some time!

Speaking as someone who is happy to watch videogame cutscenes on youtube, very few people are interested in watching videogame cutscenes on youtube. Certainly nowhere near the audiences that an HBO drama draws.

It’s not a good reason to not adapt this game for television.

While I’m thrilled at the budget and talent being thrown at this adaptation, I have to wonder if they really needed that much money to pull this off. It feels wildly excessive for a show that doesn’t have massive CG battles. Hell, we don’t even get the rat king in season 1 (but we better fuckin getting in season 2)!

He raises some important points.

I’m of two minds about this. My day job in events had me traveling all over the world several times a year (before the pandemic). I got to see incredible places that I would never have seen otherwise, but the actual on the ground work was incredibly long hours and filled with crushing stress. I’m talking get off a 16

To be fair, MOST people weren’t impressed by the Avatar script.
