Exactly. What they’re asking for is a game that makes them feel better about their favorite character’s (and to an extent their own) choices. A game that absolves them of any actually evaluation of her (and their) actions.

I agree. It’s definitely possible to dislike this game on its merits, but so many seemingly “good faith” critiques of it end up unraveling into unsavory garbage under even a little scrutiny. And more often than not, they’ve never even played the game!
