Not even remotely. In fact, the only trans character is referred to using his chosen pronouns by every major character from minute one. And only dead-named once, by an enemy.

It’s not even remotely “all for nothing.” It’s like we played different games.

It’s not even remotely about her being queer or her suffering for being queer. The game has more queer representation (and treats these characters with dignity - i.e. a trans character being referred to by the proper pronouns by every major character from minute one) than any other AAA title in history.

Having beaten the game (and as a queer man myself) I can confirm that aside from a drunken bigot’s slur, Ellie does not suffer because she’s queer. In fact, the story handles her queerness (and other LGBTQ issues) really well, IMO.

Seems a bit hyperbolic to call critical reaction to the game “mixed.” I haven’t seen a single review from my frequented gaming sites that hasn’t been largely positive, save perhaps Kotaku’s.

It’s perfectly fine to not like the game, but it sort of feels like you guys are trying to shape a “mixed” narrative that

As someone who just beat the game, I’d just like to say that as initially uncomfortable having you play as Abby is, there’s a thematic point to it that I found satisfying. The game isn’t the most subtle, but what it had to say worked for me.

That’s a mess I had forgotten about. Though I think at that point, standing vertically was a bit of a specialty use, consoles before that always sat flat, so while it sucked, I am not shocked they would make you buy something else for vertical standing back in ps2 days.

I have to assume so, though not quite sure how it works as the stand looked notched for vertical standing.

There’s just no way they’re gonna force us to get a diff stand for horizontal, so I’m sure it works both ways somehow.

There is, looks like a center stand:

They showed a horizontal version using a center stand in the end sizzle, thankfully:

I have several family members who explicitly express what great leaders Trump and Pence are and my respect for them has completely and utterly vanished.

To truly believe that, you have to either be lacking in common sense, intelligence, compassion or all of the above.

I probably enjoyed RISE more than LAST JEDI, but I think that LAST was probably the better film, if that makes any sort of sense.

Both has some pretty significant narrative issues, but RISE was way more fun to watch as a fan (due to the ridiculously obscene amount of fan service). It doesn’t make it art, but I left

This game is made for people who already game on the PC, so really all any prospective player needs to play it is a PC VR headset. Those range in price, with some pretty affordable options for those interested.

But no, this game doesn’t make you spend thousands of dollars any more than ANY PC only VR game does.

I felt similarly about Sanders supporters who felt they were owed Warren’s endorsement.

I think the issue is that there is a toxic minority segment of white male Sanders supporters who are ruining the party for everybody. It’s important that women and POC support sanders, but it doesn’t erase the fact that he has some real assholes aggressively coming after other progressives (while oddly staying quiet

I like Sanders a lot, but this argument among his supporters that the campaign script digging at Warren wasn’t an “attack” is intellectually dishonest. If talking about Warren in this way wasn’t designed to help Sanders, it wouldn’t have been in the script.

She may well appeal to a narrower demographic, but just

It was absolutely insane to me that the way they tell us Palpatine is back is by literally writing it in the opening crawl. Talk about lazy.

Why did nobody stop to even ask which one of Rey’s parents was Palpatine’s kid?

Honestly what is that music though?

Broom boy was clearly included to show that the force lives beyond the Skywalkers and Rey. I’m not sure what’s “bullshit” or “superfluous” about that... It’s sort of necessary, narratively speaking.
