I stopped using my debit card to pay for 99% of things after these store hacks started being so prevalent. If someone gets access to your debit card number, they can do a lot more damage to your bank account than if they get a credit card number.

The 1060 is a godsend, because I have the r1, I can only devote so much power to the GPU. The 1060 actually uses less power than the 660Ti I had in there, is quieter, runs cooler and performs leaps and bounds better. Miraculous, really!

100%. I cringe when I hear people talk about how the credit cards help their credit, when I know they’re carrying balances over month to month. Credit cards are good, and they can even be great if you get one of the ones with decent perks, but I do everything in my power to pay those suckers off every single month.

For PS3/Xbox, they were hoping/aiming for 10 years, they got 7 between consoles, but as mentioned elsewhere, PS3 didn’t just die when PS4 came out. So they got pretty close to the 10 full years.

I game mostly on PC and prefer it, but PCs are not upgradable for the casual user, that’s the problem. Consoles are for casual users who want convenience and “just works” functionality. Most people don’t want to have to upgrade their media device by popping out the screws, messing with some wires, checking drivers,…

But they’re not SPLIT. Those people can still keep their Iphone 6S’ and enjoy 99.99% of the same software and features. Split would be if there was an entirely new OS and set of apps for the new device that old users couldn’t access.

We can’t have 10 year hardware generations anymore. Technology advances at such an insane pace these days that PS4 and XB1 were outdated the year they released. Optional hardware refreshes are the way forward. I for one prefer the option of a more powerful console.
