Came here to say this, I've done a handful of towed glider launches, and the effect the towee has on the tow plane and vice versa seems very downplayed here. That, and the steady amounts of prop wash and messy airflow behind the plane would make for a very unstable, very bumpy ride, given how much rougher it is being…

This could work behind a C-130, it's just about big enough to not be negatively affected by hauling around a giant air-brake.
