Jog on, GrauGeist. I have a Passat and it'll last pretty long since it has a diesel engine.

I want to get rid of it BECAUSE it's so boring and reliable. If I got a Camry, I would have taken a sledgehammer to it before I gotten to 10k miles for it's overall beigeness.

I own a 6mt Passat TDI and I kinda.. loath it for it's beigeness.. Otherwise, it's a good car, I'm just used to RWD sports cars with no traction control.

Figures are great and all that, but an Overhead Valve design like the LS1 is great because of compact packaging to slot into almost any car, down to the size of a Miata or an LMP car.

With ease.

But the question is: Do you pee in jars?

There already is, the Dogleg transmission.

1st and reverse is off to the side since you rarely use it, 2nd and 3rd in the center where it's most important and accessible. And then you have 4th and 5th is on the other side of 2nd and 3rd.

6th and over, are useless, so omitted.

I'm looking at a GTS with a 200 hp Toyota BEAMS engine from an Altezza, would 9k even be too much money to spare for a well made 200 hp GTS (also has hydro handbrake and BC Racing coilovers)?

Who are you? And what do you drive in FD?

Be thankful of your low power, my biggest complaint about cars this year was the low speed limits in Oregon.

Performance for the masses. That's all, but that's enough to put a massive smile on anyone's face.

Neutral: Will The Diesel Market Continue To Grow? Will more people flock to diesels, or have we reached peak diesel in the US?

Diesels are okay, but I find my Passat TDI (WITH a 6 speed manual) soulsuckingly boring as much as a Lexus LS or Prius.

I'll take a loud sports car with a little fourbanger and probably goes slower than a diesel Jetta, but at least I will be going sideways (off of public roads) and having a giggle.

Maybe it have been

How do I downvote someone on Kinja...

How fast is she compared to a modern F1 driver?

*Woof woof*

I guess that makes sense. I wish VW would sell any sort of rugged vehicle equipped with the 2.0 liter TDI with a manual stateside.

People in Europe cruise at over 100 mph (and have more power to overtake at those speeds) in repmobiles with engines smaller than 2 liters, I don't get why they think a 2 liter in a big

I really want to get excited about the diesel part... but I really can't...

I'll just get a sports car and be done with it, kthx.

"Rev-hangs"? What do you mean?

You couldn't possibly mean the engine staying the same RPM when you let off the throttle and put in the clutch? What kind of terrible design is that?!

(And if you are serious, which Genesis is this, the turbo 4 or the v6?)

Then wouldn't fire be a welcoming sight? "Let's all jump on the fire to stay warm, kids!"

I don't approve of this comment only because it requires me to say "Porsche" as one syllable.

This needs citations.
