Really? I honestly thought they were for transporting back/forth. I guess anything that allows for more sitting & drinking is OK in my book.
considering that the biggest chunk of a rental car price is the fees/taxes anymore you'd think they owners would care a bit more - make a little more noise.
Agreed. I'm don't feel like dealing with the math on this but how far did the original author drive to see this price gap? I'm usually driving from the airport, to the hotel, and then maybe to the wedding/event and back. In the long run it's usually still a lot cheaper than a cab when the hotel is far from the…
In other news, we got a separate recall notice for my wife's '12 Acadia for an airbag sensor issue - apparently due to corrosion and/or faulty assembly. There's also no timeline for the parts to fix it to become available, either.
I always begged off jumper cables by explaining I had too much stereo stuff hooked up and didn't want to risk a short (didn't have *that* much). The wife's Acadia has her battery behind the dash; leave out that there are jumper ports in the engine bay...
I ran into this issue with my 350z. While driving it wasn't a huge deal but with ingress/egress I bumped it a few more times than I was comfortable with.
that has to be what they're banking on because I doubt many folks who currently make that drive would ever do it voluntarily for a game (not that the current location is any better). Will definitely be interesting to see how it all plays out.
last month it took well over an hour from PIB to 75 across the top end at around the same time a game day crowd would be arriving. This is going to be an equal disaster.
especially with the "game over, Cheetah" promotion that ran (still?) for so long...
one thing that always seems to stick out to me is the $1.3m in hotel/rental car taxes. Are there that many people staying in hotels and renting cars in Cobb? I'm in Gwinnett and while I realize there are hotels outside of downtown/perimeter mall area... Are there really that many rooms and cars being rented over there?
so three bottles of wine over a six hour period, basically. I'd be more annoyed than drunk at that point.
Last year's race was one of the most enjoyable I had been to in quite some time. It ended under caution, so what. I was at pit-out\entrance to T1 and the crowd knew that every lap we were going to see a pass for the lead (on the track, no less). There was definitely an energy in the stands. These cars aren't great…
The p34 is actually a more competitive car in historic races than it was in it's period because of the huge gains in tire technology since it's debut. Goodyear begrudgingly created tires... Avon appears to do it happily.
my brother sent pictures from almost the same perspective, wild. Most of the people around him were turned towards turn 1 already, apparently not seeing the stall.
the speedway trim they'll be wearing starting tomorrow is pretty good looking, too.
I think the thought process for standing starts has been it leads to less issues at the first turn on road/street circuits. They did avoid any lap one, turn one accidents...
at least to your first point Graham Rahal said later that the rear wings obstructed their vision to anything beyond the car in front of them. As for the evasive maneuvers, I imagine the closing speed to the stopped car was pretty ridiculous. Was crazy how far down the track Seb's car ended up after the impacts.
Best part is that it's usually trader, too...
