they only opened a couple sections of the permanent stands. Looked like the NW Vista (oval turn 4) was packed. Also, all of the general admission viewing mounds were pretty filled. Considering last year the opening Saturday drew maybe 6k people, today's crowd was likely 10 times that. Doubt IMS will release numbers,

the rolling starts later in the race weren't much better...

and on Sunday IMS opens for 500 practice (streaming only I believe: racecontrol.IndyCar.com)

Been to at least one Indy 500 where a B2 did a fly over (multiple one year, maybe?). Pretty amazing, she did a hard left hand turn and was nearly vertical from our perspective.

this seems to be an amalgamation of two bad 90s movies... Very bad things (bachelor party/dead hooker) and one that was so bad I don't remember the name. Bachelor party in an rv in Detroit? (i think ice-t was in it, maybe Dennis Leary, too). ETA: judgement night

these occasionally become available for sale in various states of disrepair and my brother and I tend to consider picking one up for tailgating/travel but usually end up thinking better of it.

A friend has a new pathfinder (and also had one of the huge, pre-Aramada introduction ones, years ago). The new pathfinder is closer to a minivan (or Dodge Journey, yikes) at this point, without the sliding doors. Indistinguishable from some of the earlier body styles now.

Detroit GP 1996. Torrential rains flood part of the circuit shortly before the Indy Lights race. There's something like 6-8" of water at Turn 8. On the grid, Dr. Jack Miller goes up to the chief starter and whines "Why aren't we racing? We race in the rain! I've got loads of sponsors here!" The starter replies "Doc,

Came here to post this! Well done, sir.

I had the exact same thought when I read the article, you've summed it up better than I could have.

Awesome! Thanks for answering. Hope you have a great season(s).

C.J., what's the best weekend/outing you've had as a race team owner? as a pitcher?

Motor Trend's Car of the Year 1995. What a year that must have been!

with a little planning and time we found lightly used pottery barn kids furniture on craigslist for about the same price as Ikea and target items - and the quality is considerably better. We also found a nice consignment shop that draws from a fancier zip code for items baby girl will out grow quickly - and were out

The rampside truck has become an obsession of mine lately. Kind of do want.

Also a cut pool noodle from the dollar store works.

They're not as rare as I initially thought - the ones that are currently available though are real high milers compared to some that seem to have recently come off of 1-year, low miles leases. I also read that for some reason the manual was only available in the highest trim levels.

Looking at G37 sedans right now and I'm finding this quite a bit after applying the filters. It's crazy - but not surprising.
