fun fact: a lot of people are actually allergic to raw fruit (or, most raw fruits, that is). It's a type of pollen allergy. If I were to bite into a raw apple, it'd be sneezing, sniffling, watering eyes, and sore throat like the DICKENS until I waited it out and drank a lot of water and consumed an unhealthy amount

I'm one of those hardcore horrible atheists who aren't going to be nice about your superstitions, and I STILL think Christmas is the best thing ever ever ever ever ever ever ever. But I think that's because I have the same feelings about Christmas that some people have about Thanksgiving - that it's a time for family

Here is my Bennet(t) story: I doubled up in foreign languages as a senior in high school, which landed me in year 4 French and year 1 Chinese with a bunch of sweet little optimistic 13/14 year olds. Including a kid called Bennett, who was the NICEST kid and also possibly the worst language learner I've ever met in

Does vegan cheese substitute type stuff count as not cheese? Because in that case I would be sad but I would give up cheese and keep sex.

I'm not saying all of them are. But the overlap between [white female American Jane Austen fans], and [pretentious self-pitying racists], is large and hugely off-putting. I side-eye them for the same reasons I side-eye male fantasy nerds. I think their escapist desire for certain parts of European history probably

I have no great love of American women who like Jane Austen too much. But that's probably because they're almost all snotty pretentious white anglophiles who grew up in suburbia, felt misunderstood for reasons that are their own fault, and "aren't racist but..."

It's also a problem when you dismiss romance novels more than you dismiss, for example, trashy murder mysteries. They are equally insubstantial, but only one is marketed at women.

I volunteer as tribute

Maybe my reading comprehension isn't up to scratch, but apart from glorifying Cosby now of all times, I think this was a pretty solid statement. Isn't this just a slightly less explicit way of calling out the "good kid" narrative for being problematic and irrelevant? The problem is that we're even asking whether

Yeah like unless they can pull a perfectly whole and healthy and breathing Mike Brown out to testify that nobody killed him (which honestly would be better for both sides), that officer should have gone to trial.

UGH

What you say is technically true, but given that Brown was unarmed, Wilson didn't need to shoot him to protect himself from perceived danger. He could have just driven away. The only reason to shoot to kill, EVER, is when it is obvious that you will die imminently if you don't. And even then, I would never do it.

Not actually relevant to your point, I know, but I wanna let you know that Sarah Lawrence isn't actually a women's college. Just for the sake of fact-ness.

I'm a size 4! Gimme

Look, I get it, rape is bad. But this is in incredibly poor taste. All of these rape victims are alive. People who died in a genocide didn't live to see the opportunity to publicly accuse their attackers.

"But what I have a problem is many people acting like the race of the victim and Cosby don't effect how this would be treated. I think its strange that people who never ever believe rape victims are all of a sudden totally there to support them when the rapist is black and the victim is white."

I had the wildest experience of my life on weed brownies. I was incorrectly informed as to the differences in effect, and also I was hungry. As in, ate them on an empty stomach and ate lots because I was hungry.

awwwww! I bet your daughter was pretty excited about that.

why thank you good sir
