I think this comment section is perhaps not dominated but largely populated by spiteful, vicious, nasty people who care far more about elevating themselves over the less-educated for superiority's sake than they are about actually promoting justice in a way that's even remotely consumable.
I'm done with the jezebel comments section. Like, done. Trust me, your comment was a-okay.
he's not telling you how to wear your pubic hair, though. he's stating his personal preference. it may not be 100% germane to the point of the article but i found it to be thoroughly inoffensive and undeserving of the attention it's getting.
after your first sentence i had the very scary feeling that you were being serious
you know what?
that is such bullshit. a person read an article on the internet and casually/bored-ly posted his (or her, we didn't know until he said so) immediate thought response. and everyone is freaking the fuck out. on any other website on the entire vastness of the tubes that would be a laughable overreaction.
wait what on earth makes you think this is a dude?
because comments on an article on the internet always have to be 100% relevant to the intent of the article as well as the content of the article
"I kid" is unintentionally excellent word choice here
This article actually inspired a bet between me and my boyfriend. He's in Cali for a week and he called me on the way to crashing a college party drunk and asking me what was up. (he's 22, okay, so young enough to get away with that.) I said I'd just read this ridiculous article and then challenged him to somehow…
GALLOWS HUMOUR AHH WHY AM I LAUGHING
I think about this a lot actually. I had a middle school teacher (a white woman, for the sake of context) tell me that Disney's Aladdin was racist because the bad guy was darker than the good guy. I'm SURE, no question whatsoever, that racism is almost always at play especially in the U.S. and especially with regard…
ah hm
heyyyyy she actually has a really nice voice. Not sure about him though...
lololol A+ analogy
On some level, though, I'm not completely sure why someone being anti-abortion is so terrible. I mean, yes, I'm pro choice and all, but GIVEN that someone genuinely believes from the bottom of his heart that an embryo is a person and extinguishing that embryo is murder, wouldn't it be wrong for that person to not…
Then again, I think Amy Winehouse herself pulled it off because she was totally batshit crazy. Adele doesn't really have that "advantage"
Points for originality, though.
