My initial fire to read Jonathan Carrol was fueled by the realization that his book "The Land of Laughs" came up in an episode in season 1 of Fringe when Peter first takes Olivia to the rare book store. I've noticed some parallels between the book and the show and its worth a read

My lovely girlfriend found me a copy of the Panic Hand after I read this post last October and freaked out trying and failing to find it in any and bookstore. I highly recommend it along with any of Jonathan Carroll's other work.

It looks much less sturdy than earlier models. My 3GS has been through hell and back with barely a scratch on it. I'd be afraid to handle that with out gloves.
