While I pretty much agree with you, the counter-argument might be that the future state autonomous cars will do nothing to warrant getting pulled over, so DUIs will be significantly harder to enforce. This leads to less profit for the police, so they start focus instead on other more profitable crimes.

I always thought it was ironic that the loophole (having 3 wheels) that allows these tiny little cars to bypass crash safety regulations, actually makes them even less safe. Every one of these cars would be improved greatly if they had 4 wheels.

My neighborhood is almost exclusively 7 figure homes, and the majority of the vehicles here are worth less than $15k. The apartment complex a mile down the road is filled with current model 1/2-3/4 ton trucks and German SUVs.
